The two cases I was referring to were the ones I personally handled split, one of them you didn't agree with the decision and appealed to abge, and then to Kestas when you didn't agree with abge's decision. That was the situation where action was taken.

The other case I mentioned was the 2nd time you reported an offense, in which I contacted the player in question and ensured the action stopped. In both cases action was taken. You can call me a liar if you wish, but it's not accurate.

I was referring to the one in which action wasn't taken.That one is above the rules. And when I say "you" I don't mean you personaly but the mod team,it's all same to me who handled it,it's important you are being selective.

Wow, if you ever wanted a thread to make sure you thoroughly discourage existing and future mods from contributing to the site, then this is how you do it.

In general, I'm damn happy with the mod team. From my experience, they take reports of abuse seriously, they take pro-active action to make sure all is well, and from what I can see most decisions are weighed carefully and actions taken decisively.

You can't ask the mods to not be selective. You can't ask them to not be subjective. They call shots the computer cannot. So by nature, they are both these things. They make calls. Some you agree with so you rejoice, some you don't and you move on. The only thing you can expect (demand!) them to do is act with integrity and honesty. And I haven't found fault with any of them in that regard.

And if you do want to talk about integrity of mods, then just email Kestas, since that's where you need to be.

If SplitD wants to have a moan where better to share it than with his old comrades here on the forum..... this is where it all happens. If Jesus come back today (if he is not already back that is) and signed on here he would probably assume we were all great mates having a bit of banter ..... then he'd go sort out that twat Netanyahu.

SD your perspective is a bit different from most of us. You play sooooo many games you get to see the mods at their best and their worst (or what it is you perceive to be their worst) far more than average players. Unfortunately it is the negative the tends to stick in our minds the most.

Eh, I got silenced by Zultar for jokingly claiming blank was a multi. That's something that people around here do all the time, but they usually just get off with a warning. I'm not going to make a big deal out of it, because that's not what it is, but it happens. If the mods caused any real problems with it, then maybe this discussion might actually merit a thread, but sometime mods just don't like people.

There is always three ways that you can deal with mods supposedly not liking you. Number 1 - Stop acting like a dick. Number 2 - Appeal to Kestas. Number 3 - Go play somewhere else. Complaining on the forum helps no one.

@KA, I suspect you'd been previously warned if you got silenced for that.

@jimgov, there are plenty of people the mods aren't thrilled with. That isn't going to get them silenced, banned, or punished in any way. Though #1 is always an appreciated decision :)

#3 is not a preferred decision though. In no way does the moderator team impact people's ability to play games.

A mod said though I could talk about it refering to a PLAYER A and PLAYER B or something like that and I've explained it in the start of the thread - PLAYER A has been prosecuted because he broke a rule and PLAYER B hasn't been prosecuted having violated the same rule.It's simple - PLAYER B has no need to follow the rules because he somehow knows he wont be prosecuted.The question is why? By the time the matter was explained the game was over.

But get more specific. No player names but say what they supposedly did that one got away with and the other didn't.

When people break the rules they are warned if it is a minor offense, or punished with docked points or a silence if it is a major offense. If the offenses continue the person is docked 50%+ of their points or banned. No one gets away with breaking the rules multiple times. But per Kestas's wishes we lean towards second chances/leniency. Using a pause for diplomatic reasons is not going to get someone seriously punished on their first offense. I told you both situations were taken care of and they were. If you see that particular problem again then report it and it will be dealt with, if you don't then I suppose it means our approach worked.

OK, so it's your two rule violation reports. In one the game was over before a decision could be reached. Nothing can be done. Mod powers *are* limited after all. There are certain things that trying to do would risk corrupting the database and crashing the site. The second was caught in time and action taken. In both cases, the mods did what they could do. It had jack shit to do with favoritism. But you can't see that cause you got your fucking blinders on.
