Probably only in the next season of this tournament. We just have the final to play the final and I doubt that anyone will give up.

Ah, I just assumed with Trip's comment and all the bumping that you all must be waiting on someone.

all is well right now, geofram. the highest scoring finisher to not advance from the previous round is given first crack at filling in, so like troo mentioned, you'll have to wait for the next one.

next tourney sign up starts sept 1st. links to all the info can be found on my profile. if someone wants to step up and run a spring/summer tourney, feel free to contact me, but be aware that you'll be solely responsible for it. a year round commitment is a bit much for me.

yeah. i was thinking if it starts in mid-sept, it should wrap up sometime in late feb-ish (i'm planning on doubling the size, which will add another round). that gives the champ bragging rights for the rest of the year.

thanks ike. it took a while, but i finally got over the hump and soloed in a classic gunboat. then i soloed again...and again. some bad play from others certainly helped with the first win, but i really think playing in this tourney helped my overall game.

Congratulations, Frank. Good game. I would be more happy if you would wait for me to greak the stalemate line and stab me after. Because after the change of players it was easy to guess, that for me to advance I need more SCs than England.

TBroadlay - did you play in the same game as the rest of us?!?! I don't get you. After Frank's stab I have opened you a way to solo, but you were just standing still, observing the game, occasionally supporting me, watching me slowly dying. What was your plan? How many move orders did you make in last ten years? Five? And why on earth did you stop supporting France after holding it all the way?

I enjoyed this tournament very much. A bit annoyed since my group didn't finish moves earlier, but when I look back this doesn't change much. Thanks trip for organizing everything and preventing CDs.
Semifinal results are absolutely realistic from my point of view and this only shows that this format of tournament is ok. Congrats to all finalists. More of us will watch your games with a great interest :-).

I'm sorry, Kamen. I did not play very well at all. I have no idea why I didn't support hold Marseilles on the last turn. But after Turkey stabbed you, I was concentrating more on stopping the solo than trying to solo on my own. My plan was to stop Turkey at 17. But I'm always looking for advice. What would you have done in my position?

Wow, that's frustrating! I was the replacement. Two of the games I had a unit or two and a death sentence---fine, I know how important it is to have actual moves instead of CDs. So what if my GR takes a hit, it's all good and fun. But this last game was great, tons of fun placing myself as the focus point in the south--both sides needing to support me. Then the ultimate happens; turkey votes draw!!!! I go to bed happy, believing I'm in a four way draw in the finals. I know I won't advance (which is good since I was a replacement), but it makes me happy. BUT I'm a little concerned (given the quality of play) that turkey and eng may go for a two way draw with me as englands 17th sc. Then I wake to an even worse fate---turkey soloing!!!!! Ack!!!!
