I'm taking a break from press games as soon as I finish Draug's World game, and from the site in general once I finish the World Gunboat tournament. Diplomacy just ate up way too much of my time last summer, especially with my participation in the World Cup and Triathlon.

Did I see somewhere that this is a gunboat tournament? If it isn't, I'm game to play.

I'm looking to start a new FP game when I get back from Whistler (humble brag - holy shit it's amazing here) and wouldn't want it to be conflict with two trny games.

I probably won't get around to setting up the games and the final details until the end of the month. Plus, we aren't even halfway there with the recruitment haha.

Phase lengths usually are 36 hours, but since it looks like we'll likely do two games at once, I will consider going to 48.

Also, since the mods are going to be taking a slightly different approach to tournaments now, 40 will be required from each player at the start of the tournament to create the winner's prize pool. 1120 to first, 560 to second, and 280 to third. In total, if you don't win/draw any of the games, you will need 80 to participate in the tourney.

Goldfinger, you are kind to make me aware of this.

I cannot participate at this time; however, I offer my services as a sitter (not an alternative) as I'm sure there will be some/several/many times when someone needs a week or two off. I follow instructions well; am not afraid to take initiative if those are my instructions; am fairly effective in tactics.

I don't rate on the GR list anymore however as I've mostly been active over at vDip and haven't been on here much lately. I think you have to go all the way back to July to find me on the GR list.

I'm interested in playing in this tourney against top players don't know if my meager GR of 405 will allow me to make cut.But if you'll have me no easy push over here will fight till the end.

One of my New Year's Resolutions is to let go of all ill will towards anyone on this site that I've had any sort of conflict with in the past, however minor (or major!), especially since I hope to take a few years off (if my wife and I are able to get pregnant and have a kid). This tournament sounds like as good a way to do that as I can come up with, please sign me up! :-)
