All students, please read and post your agreement to the below rules in this thread and then we can get this game underway:
Rules for the SoW games: All players agree to only discuss the game with their TA, no other players. You may read the professors comments in the forum, but any questions you have about what they post must be directed at your TA. Students will refrain from posting on the forum about the game unless to request a pause. TA's will refrain from posting in the forum about this game unless your student asks you a question you don't know the answer too, at that point you may ask the professors. All players will get 1 pause, up to a week long. Pauses over a week will be voted upon by the other players in the game. Game phases will be 48 hours, with a bet size of 5
. I will assign TA's to countries as soon as all of the students have joined the game.
Students, if at any point during the game you cannot get in contact with your TA for more then a day or so let me know right away and I will find a replacement TA until your regular TA comes back.

Discussing Gunboat games on the forum or with other players is against the rules. This is only allowed because this game is considered a teaching game and a "tournament", pre-approved by the moderators, with it's own set of rules that will be agreed to by all the players involved. The professors writing and posting about this game have specific permission too do so for THIS game only. Members of the community are normally completely forbidden from posting in the forum about ongoing gunboat games. This game is the solo exception, questions about SoW games are encouraged.
