Real Politics: Equal civil marriage consultation
Brace yourselves, WebDippers, we have an opportunity to say something that actually matters for a change! (Brits only, sadly). Instead of making the same old arguments to the same old people, why not say something to the government as they consider new legislation?

How should you view the economy?

Guys, I got tired of having to hide the screen from my kids when I was reading the Forum posts because of the widespread use of the F-word and other profanity. So--it's not personal if I muted you, or your thread.

The Pope's visit to Cuba
So the Pope reckons that "Marxism no longer corresponds to reality".

He claims to be the earthly representative of an all-powerful invisble sky wizard. What the fuck does he know about reality?

Alright, say some of your friends dated a chick who is, let's say, a whore. Now, you go after her just for that reason; not to date her, but just to get a little somethin somethin. Does that break the "bro code"?

I thought sex would be a given for everyone. Really is there anyone who doesn't like it?
SacredDigits (102 D)

Yeah, me too.

In a way, I'm glad we were delayed enough for the contesting, because it got really hilarious. His birth mother was a prostitute and started telling every long term client of hers that they were really the father because she wanted to keep him but was wanted by the cops so she couldn't come try to get him herself.

I like sex. But it's not in my top 5.

Celticfox, asexual people ;) I'm not asexual, but it's not that important to me. Probably because of medicine and depression. But I don't think about it often and don't get that much out of it.

SD, I'm sorry you had to through all that. I hope you were able to keep most of it from the kid. But on the plus side, at least I'm glad they take child abuse very seriously.

@SD same here. @Vaft you know didn't think of that.

Some of my least favourite things:

1) Those few minutes that would immediately follow my other half finding out I'd been talking about our sex life (however briefly) with random people on the internet :p.

2) France
Ontario Craft Brewers
Muskoka
Positive drug experiences (thanks thucydides)
Rap, alt-country and vocal harmonies

Celticfox, save yourself the trip and just go to Montreal instead. Closer, cheaper, and you can't tell the difference.
Celticfox (100 D(B))

Not the same though and we'd travel all over europe at the same time. It's reason number 54 why we don't want children. To be able to travel whenever we want to.

There are better and worse parts of France. It's a huge country. I recommend Eastern Europe for culture, history and price, and if you want something breath-taking and beautiful, go to Damascus once things have settled down there. I count my trip to Damascus as one of the best experiences of my life. 8000 years of history!

@Celtic....grow up....Good god, you don't want kids so you can travel??? Selfish bitch....funny thing is...I HAVE KIDS...and (GASP!) I travel WITH THEM. Nothing more enjoyable than seeing the awe in a child's eye when you show them the wonders of the world....

....and how much does Celticfox *really* travel without kids??? Errr....nadda...no more than anyone else...If you don't want kids, say so. don't make up lame ass excuses, though. Moron...

Take you kids to see Yellowstone National Park....to see bison roaming free...to see lakes on top of the mountains...hell...to see the mountains and the plains...Taking my kids on a trip across the country was one of the most awesome experiences I have had.
lol, 2nd, Montreal and France are really nothing alike.
krellin (80 DX)
28 Mar 12 UTC
Celtic...THERE YOU GO....just say, "I don't want kids..." INSTEAD you DID try to defend it with your lame ass excuse that you couldn't travel if you had kids...even though you apparently are not traveling even though you don't have kids.....duhhhhhhh.....

Celticfox (100 D(B))

Actually we go on a bigger trip every other year. I said it really as a joke. You blast me for not seeing your jokes then don't get mine.
krellin (80 DX)
28 Mar 12 UTC
Funny....we go on bigger trips every year too...with kids....

Well...given you history of statements regarding children, your present attempt to pass it off as a joke is....desperate and lame, at best. If you hate kids because you are a military kid and wouldn't do to your kids what was done to you and you resent childhood...say so....but don't try to blast kids as a general concept. That's just lame. And nobody buys that "it was a joke"....Particularly since you have already demonstrated a clear LACK of a sense of humor....<sigh....> I pity your husband....

@krellin - Lay the fuck off. Some people don't want them. I've been married 23 years and we don't have any and are perfectly happy with our dogs.
Montreal is a great city. And it is half anglophone. I have been to France and I did not like it as much as I like Montreal. Or other parts of Quebec for that matter.

Why we should keep Government WEAK!!!!
Those in the human race who are lazy, dishonest, unmotivated, drug addicts, drunks and unreliable want government to be strong so government can provide them a life they would never or could never provide for themselves by their own efforts. This thread is dedicated to them, and to keeping Govt. weak

A question for the Webdip Theological Seminary
I am curious, what is your take on Mark 12:24-25 and Matthew 22:29-30 (nearly identical passages)? Jesus claims to be quoting scripture, but the scripture is not locatable in the Tanakh.

Allow me to make the first post, please.
