Bug on Global board
In game 11921, I am playing Turkey and voted for a draw by entering "/draw" in the global box -- without the quotes. The vote was not acknowledged, however, and it doesn't seem to have registered. There is only one other player remaining in the game and he voted for a draw this morning (7:20am ET) -- presumably before the upgrade.

In Autumn...
If you have X units, and X SCs, and you are forced to retreat one of those units... instead of retreating you disband that unit leaving you with X-1 units... do you get to build a new unit that turn?

Taking over countries should be encouraged!
When you take over a country, there is no indication, to an outside observer, that a country was taken over. That is to say, if you take over a country with 1 supply center at the end of a game, you are the only person recorded as having played that game.

"Depth charging"
@El_Perro_Alto: Please don't do this. Cleaning it up just takes a copy&paste of a query, but until it's cleared up it wastes the time of people reading the forums, because they can't see what posts are actually updated.

The next version has code to prevent "depth charging", but I'd rather not spend time writing anti-dumbass code so use some common sense

@Chrisp - I like women. Period. The exception being when they get saggy and wrinkly. But a good early 50s MILF down to a 16 year-old hottie... As long as they take care of themselves, I like 'em all.

Draug, 'early 50s MILF' - that doesn't give your wife a lot of time before you offload her for a younger model...

Trim, I agree with your sentiments - I really really hope Onar is 14... although the daughter of the 1st team captain at my cricket club (who is 15) does have a great pair - as has been remarked by practically everyone at the club!
Xapi (194 D)

I'd hate to be that captain...
Xapi (194 D)

I mean, imagine the situation, you're in the club, watching a Kournikova vs Sharapova tennis match, and say, 'whoa, those are some hot ladies', and then somebody says 'You know who else is hot? Your 15 year old daughter!'

That sucks ass.
vamosrammstein (757 D(B))

Its even more awkward when your sitting live at a professional female tennis match, talking with your friends about every single attractive part of the girls anatomy, and their father turns around and says, "my daughter's sexy body has more muscle tissue than all three of you guys put together."

THAT is awkward.
Draugnar (0 DX)
19 Jul 09 UTC
@Daptain Dave - Yeah, well who says I find her attractive or have sex with her anymore. I'd have offloaded her years ago if it weren't for that damned piece if paper filed with the state of Ohio. Now, I'd have to give her half the crap that I earned (she doesn't work and sponges off me, has for years) to get out of it.

Ohio? I thought you said you lived in Kentucky Draug?
Draugnar (0 DX)

You do know they have a common border and people in the greater Cincinnati area move around between Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, right? Of course the smart ones get south of the Ohio River and realize that Kentucky truly is God's land and never move again.

I live 30 minutes from downtown Cincinnati, in Hebron, KY (home of the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky International Airport, aka CVG). We have lived her for about 4 years. Prior to that we lived 40 minutes from downtown in Fairfield, OH. We lived there for most of our marriage. I graduated from Lakota High School in West Chester, OH and Southern Ohio College in Fairfield, OH. My wife graduated from Sycamore High School in Symmes Township (Blue Ash), OH.

That's why it's locally called the Tristate area.

Draugnar (0 DX)

That's one Tristate area. There are others around the US: New York/New Jersey/Connecticut, Ohio/Pennsylvania/West Virginia, and more.

Prenups only work if you have something before you get married. I got married at 23 right out of school. So technically, I could keep my old POS Ford Escort and my beat-up but fun Fiat Spider, if I still had them and had the prenup. But I got rid of them long ago.
Hamilton (137 D)

don't forget about the NJ/PA/Delaware Tristate area.

and boobs are great, all though I like legs more myself. I think its acceptable to look from 16-the end of their attractiveness, but after a certain age you should set the the bottom requirement a little higher.
Draugnar (0 DX)
19 Jul 09 UTC
I've heard age / 2 + 7. So 43/2=21.5+7=28.5. I can't agree with this though as it eliminates nearly all the 20 somethings I work with. There has to be a cap on the age for the division by 2. Something like 30 so that 30/2=15+7=22. I like this one better. Then us old geezers can still drool over the typical Playboy Playmate.
Hamilton (137 D)
20 Jul 09 UTC
Yea, 20 somethings should definitely be allowed until at least 55. But I can't speak for the 20 somethings.
Draugnar (0 DX)
20 Jul 09 UTC
I got it... Age / 2 + (7 - (Decades of Age + 1))
High School grad (18)=9+(7-1)+1=16
Recent College grad (22)=11+(7-2)+1))=17
Me (43) = 21.5 + (7-4)+1))=21.5 + (3+1)=21.5+4=25.5
Hamilton's 55=27.5+(7-5)+1=30.5
53 would be the oldest for someone under 30, so we'll add a +/- 5%, locking the bottom end at 16 (statutory rape).

How's that work for everyone?
Alderian (2425 D(S))
20 Jul 09 UTC
The numbers you did were for:

Age / 2 + (7 - Decades of Age) + 1

rather than

Age / 2 + (7 - (Decades of Age + 1))

But good enough for me. That puts my bottom age at 23. I can still fantasize about younger than that right?
vamosrammstein (757 D(B))
20 Jul 09 UTC
Fantasizing is totally ok, as long as it doesn't become a realization of that fantasy.
Xapi (194 D)
20 Jul 09 UTC
I'm 25, this puts my bottom age at 18.5.

I think the Age/2 needs to be rounded down.

My girlfriend is older than me anyway, but a man can dream.

vamosrammstein (757 D(B))
20 Jul 09 UTC
I agree with Xapi, I think anyone in their 20s should be able to have an 18 year old.
Draugnar (0 DX)
20 Jul 09 UTC
Yeah, I forgot to reedit the notation. I ran the numbers the other way and didn't like them as it allowed an 18 year old to do a 14 year old. so I switched it up. It meant that I had to settle for a 25+ year old, but that was better than a 22 year old dating a 15 year old.
Draugnar (0 DX)
20 Jul 09 UTC
Hence the adjuctment of 5%. Reduce 18.5 to 17.675.
Xapi (194 D)
20 Jul 09 UTC
"I agree with Xapi, I think anyone in their 20s should be able to have an 18 year old."

Totally, there should be government founded programs to allow that.

This question came up to my great uncle and me while we were verbally feuding with each other. We got a few half decent answers to it. But it was too late to actually really think about it. And I knew that this would be a badass question to put up in the forum.
