Your liberal progressive programs eliminate work for loggers, farmers, and fisherman. And utiliies such as the LADWP give electric line workers more pay and benefits at rate payers expense than ninety percent of workers. Quite a bit of compensation compared to the very low pay military enlisted personnel receive.

This was a non essential base after the kosovo conflict. Generals who enjoyed the lap of luxury being showered upon their facility necessitated the need to keep the base open under a promise that their presence wiuld be needed to defend an oil pipeline soon to be built nearby.

Im sure you can imagine what happens next.

The pipeline never gets built. At all. Yet the need for the base somehow remained because the general says it does. It doesnt.

These people arent fighting for America. Theyre fighting to maintain a level of comfort and lifestyle under the false premise of strategic need.

This happens in okinawa, the azores, guam, and in numerous non essential military installations worldwide. All blanketed by the word of higher up commanders who insist upon the need for manning and keeping the bases upon. And it only ever gets larger.

This is why war will always be deemed an unfortunate necessity, exclusively among military higher ups. Its a racket. Its a bleeding expenditure rotting among a 555 billion dollar defecit.
