I'd like to play, but I'm probably not going to be able to commit enough time unfortunately :(

Not interested in playing at the moment but I would be willing to try and select some balanced secret partner teams for you if you'd like. I don't know any of you so I'm unbiased.

If this goes into a second round, I would absolutely love to play. At the moment however I cant imagine I'll find the proper time..

Pairing Egypt and Russia is a death sentence for Turkey..it should be avoided.

If you need neutral to aid in the set up and allocations i would be willing to lend a hand..

i am trying to increase my profile on webdip..

i wont have time to play it though..but can referee once rules are in place..

I thought a better set of pairs would be .

Russia/Spain.

France/ Egypt.
Poland/ Italy
Germ/TURK

or random pairs of players with only the pair knowing who they are allied too.

@Smokey_Gem and @groza528 - I definitely appreciate the offer of helping us set it up so that we can do secret pairings as that adds another level of intrigue. Especially from a couple of webDiplomacy veterans. I think we'll take you up on it once we're set.

I think the only rules for pairings should be:
1) Don't pair two of the countries that start with only three units.
2) Russia should not be paired with a country starting with four units
Otherwise, anything goes, although if a pair starts too far apart (say England and Egypt), that will be a serious disadvantage since they won't be able to cooperate much in the early game, so I think that should be avoided.

I think bounties give a nice additional element. Each country can have one other bounty country which they get if their team gets all the original SCs of that country. I'll PM groza to set it up.

I'll PM the password to the individual participants, and once everyone has joined, groza will send PMs to each player to let him know who his partner is and who his bounty country target is.

So, how about this statement regarding bounties:

Each great power is assigned a bounty before the beginning of the game. The bounties for each great power on a team must come from different teams.

At the end of the game, your team earns:
a) One (1) bounty point if the bounty has been eliminated; and
b) One (1) bounty point if your team controls all of the bounty's home supply centers.

So, each team can earn up to 4 bounty points. You have an incentive to eliminate the bounty and take over their home.

So, you try to crush you enemies, see them driven before you and hear the lamentations of their women.

So I'm spectating the game and I saw a question raised in the global channel that I obviously could not reply to in the same place:
Per a suggestion earlier in this thread, your team's bounties WILL be on DIFFERENT teams.
