How can I become a better person?
I have recently been told that I am misogynistic, homophobic, an idiot, an asshole, and a retarded autistic twat. Do you fellows at WebDiplomacy observe these traits about me? How can I become the best me possible? What tips and advice can you offer? How can I become a better human? This is a serious thread and I want to become a better person.

"and a retarded autistic twat" whoever said that is a highley offesive person with no real or even pretend morals..as father of a child living on the Autism spectrum I am franlky sick of the crap my son has to put up with due to uneducated , unenlightened , vile self centred people who use such langauge..I you are Austistic live strong, love yourself, and you are a valueable perosn .. much more so than people who use that langauge to express themselves.

1. Be Impeccable with your Word:

Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the Word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your Word in the direction of truth and love.

2. Don’t Take Anything Personally

Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.

3. Don’t Make Assumptions

Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

4. Always Do Your Best

Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.

But Jamie lets be honest who is going to walk in a college campus and say "That doesn't make sense Insert Name, you stupid fool". It is just so hard to change in this environment. This isn't me making up excuses it is simply the raw truth, People don't act the way you guys, and adults in general, want us to....

No one calls anyone else a "queer" on a college campus, either. Probably "dumbass."

How will you be getting rid of your homophobia if you contimue to believe gay people choose to be gay as opposed to being born gay.

Also there is nothing to be uncomfortable about: they arent going to try to covert you to being gay.
Yoyoyozo (65 D)

I would respect the person with the weirdly worded insult over the homophobic remark any day.

I believe Jamie is a bit out of touch with college rhetoric, but it's more than sufficient to just say "shut up" or "shut up you dumbass." When you say "shut up, you queer" it goes over a line that not very many people are happy with you crossing.

I would agree TrPrado. Most people I have met don't go to the extreme in their word choice, but then again I am usually in the front of the class with all the other goody-goodies.

What I am guessing is that your friends use that style of word choice a lot, so you developed it as well. Therefore the people calling you misogynistic and homophobic are outside your immediate friend circle, so try using a softer vocabulary around people OTHER then your friends.

one that Society accepts
be yourself, if you do that, and don't needlessly insult others then "society" will accept you just fine. Tbh if you are so sensitive why would you want to insult others anyway.
brainbomb (290 D)
15 Apr 17 UTC
Accept yourself dude. Dont live to please other people. If you are a bigot because other people are bigots you arent you. If you are against being a bigot because its more socially acceptable to appear to be socially accepting then you also arent being you.

Its okay to be unpopular sometimes. In fact its necessary.

If two guys are making out that should do absolutely nothing to you. And if it does secretly do something for you theres literally nothing wrong with that either. Its not like you have to join their makeout session. If you dont like PDA thats an acceptable reason to feel uncomfortable. But if you get older and goto a club sometime youll see way more debauchery than two guys kissing.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

Jesus Zmaj please don't say that. That is the stuff my nightmares are composed of....... The last thing I want is to be forgotten. My worst fear is a 100 years from now no one knows my name..... "rolling dices"?
I just won a 1v1 against CptMike, however he was getting really angry at me, saying he does not want me to join any more games that he has created, accusing me of "rolling dices". What happened according to me is that I lured him into trying for Munich in Autumn 01, then bouncing him out of there and basically leaving him with only one build.

Cheating in live games
http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=196087

Does anyone else think it's strange that Germany and Russia perfectly coordinated moves in a live game that was anonymous without any chat whatsoever? Also, I find it strange how Russia makes no moves in the end and allows Germany to completely take him over. I think we have a multi scandal on our hands people!

Legitimacy of the website
Hey all,

Was just wondering how legitimate this website is? I played Diplomacy back in the day, but never online. Wanted to know how rampant cheating or botting is. Seems like a lot of players play in multiple games together. Is it just a small community or are this an uncommon thing? Anyways, having fun so far! Reminds me of the good-ol-days. Thanks for the dialogue.

I'm taking part in a WW1 reenactment game (gameID=195453) and we'd like to restart it. Is there any way for us to restart the current game? Otherwise would it be possible to have a new game with us all in the same country as the first game? The new game is here (gameID=196051)

Timer out of wack with PC?
Sorry that I couldn't seem to find this in FAQ/Help. I've had this issue on my laptop and now my PC, the game timer is not updating correctly it appears and either says 'Now' when there is still 2 minutes to go , or might say there's 2 minutes left when actually the phase is over. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Cheers
