Limited to civilian people, military does not count. Overall, from all areas of the country. Two rules, cannot say your own country or a country you have never actually been to or only heard of.

Trump hires cheap foreign workers

Trump saves money by hiring cheap foreign workers. Does minimum legal requirement to get them instead of US workers.

Easily.
krellin....You *do* realize that the Cuban Missile Crisis was caused by the Russians putting missiles in Cuban ***in retaliation*** to us placing missiles in Turkey, right? And that the tacit agreement made was for us to remove ours if they removed theirs. And that Turkey was willing to shoulder that risk meant...Quite a lot. They were voluntarily making themselves nuclear strike targets for us.

It is definetely an interesting story. Perhaps Turkey needs stricter gun laws.

@Hauta - that's probably exactly how he was overlooked. When you purge the police and security forces of secularists and are forced to rapidly replace them, things slip through the cracks.

Also, Turkey is *not* going to emerge as the leader of the Sunni world. Not so long as Qatar, Egypt and Saudi Arabia have a say

Goldie - the 60's called. They'd like their foreign policy drama back.

So...You are worried that shit is going to break out because we are 60 years late in removing nukes from Turkey because of the Cuban Missile crisis...is that what I read you saying? lol

"If Russia wants to start some shit, I'm pretty sure Trump will say, "Take your vengeance...CNN will cover it." And we'll all sit home at night amused at live-action drama.....even the bleeding heart liberals. "

While I don't agree with krellin on the use of 'amused', I do think he has somewhat a fair point. I mean, I think most people watch the news to convince themselves that they care about these issues when in fact they don't really give a shit. If I did, I would do something besides watch the news and repost a link on facebook, right?

You really don't know how to read what I'm saying, krellin. You were saying how Turkey doesn't matter, and never pulled their weight, so why care. I'm showing how they do matter, and how historically they've pulled their weight
krellin (80 DX)
19 Dec 16 UTC
(+1)
I understand they *have* pulled their weight in the past. I get it.

I'm saying they are no longer a faithful ally. So I would say you don't read what I write very well, either.

I'm not saying it isn't an important part of the world, blah blah blah. I'm not saying that they are "an ally"....but as an "ally" they don't do a very good job of consistently supporting our interests, or those of our allies.

Of course, that is attributed to their Islamic governement, the complete lack of leadership coming out of the White House, etc.

and blah blah blah.

All that aside, anybody that thinks the world is going to blow up because of some Russian Ambassador getting killed isn't living in reality, and watchs far too many TV dramas.

NOBODY NOBODY NOBODY wants to start a war over some random assassination.

More to the point, if any Westerner thinks that have an inside clue as to what is *really*going on with Russia, Turkey, etc etc etc then they are just an arrogant fool.

As for whatever the hell in going on in Syria, and Russia's involvement *with their ally*, etc. Nobody in the Western governements gives a flying fuck. That's why we sit idly by watching all this shit go down and do nothing about it, and that is why we will sit idly by and watch whatever unfolds - if anything - because of some random assassination.

It's just all drama, and I *assure* you that you all will have forgotten about it in a few days, maybe a week at the most.

@goldfinger - Apparently, the assassin has been working as a police officer in the riot division for 2.5 years so he is not a hasty hire (in the wake of the purges):

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4049400/The-undercover-cop-assassin-special-forces-officer-22-gunned-Russian-ambassador-meant-protect.html

Yes, Erdogan wants everyone to believe it's Fetuleh Gulen's doing. Gulenists are convenient bogeymen. But for Erdogan to accept responsibility is tantamount to declaring war, so I get it...This story of a terrorist leaves plausible deniability for Erdogan.
@Hauta - so do you think Erdogan is responsible? I had just chalked it up to someone being emboldened by his rhetoric

Best case scenario: Everything gets solved in international courts and the two countries are just really tense
Worst case scenario: Russia wants to pick a fight with Turkey, and NATO has to fight back, so we have to go to war with Russia, so that could be WWIII
