Uggggghhhhhh, to frame my point of view, I really like the German economic model, the social market economy. I like the idea of a capitalist model being used to grow the economy and serve the interests of everyone. With that in mind, leon's economics hurt me spiritually. When he gets into base-level stuff he makes me want to protect the socialists because, for example, the modern socialist movement began with genuine economic critiques of the capitalist models of the time, using the ideas of supply and demand to argue against capitalism. On the other hand, when he gets into a little deeper stuff, like international trade, he brings out my inner capitalist economist to tell him he really just doesn't get it. He needs to take a lot more history and economics courses from teachers of various views and opinions. He's not going to learn everything he needs in those fields from us, but until he learns, he hurts my head with his entry-level understanding of how these concepts work.
