Balon Greyjoy
So I find it interesting that based on the photos for Season 6 the show appears poised to go forward with the Ironborn Plot. I feel like they sort of "missed the boat" (ahah) on this. Balon should have died way back in Season 3. Now ironically enough by pacing it out the way they have you could argue Balon won the war of the five kings. (Hes the only one still alive among them!!)

And about Red states flocking to Sanders, they're not the kind of Red that would flock to Sanders. You can't expect them to choose a man who vocally and publicly calls himself a socialist to be so necessarily win these states over so easily just because his opponent is taking a licking and their neighbors don't like her.
TrPrado (461 D)

"She won over an entire state, let alone the largest and most financially powerful at the time"

NY was/is not the largest state and she was running against a truly terrible candidate (Lazio) since Giuliani dropped out at the last minute.

Putin is back?
Jeff Kuta (2066 D)

Red states aren't "flocking to Sanders" but he will be more competitive there. But that doesn't matter a whole lot really because the delegate counts from those states is so small compared to the states Democrats usually carry.

To a certain extent, Libya was pretty much exactly as foreseeable as Iraq. It seems to me as if in the middle east, under secular one party dictatorships, the only power groups that have their stuff together other than the party are the Islamist groups that can rely on real outside assistance. We remove the secular head of state, and either Iran or Saudi Arabian trained clerics fill the power vacuum. The only secular group with their stuff together from Tunis to India who don't run the state are the Kurds, and for various Turkey reasons, we're never going to go all in on backing the Kurds.

How quaint - people who think elections actually matter.

If Sanders or Trump actually look like they will win the elections in their respective party primaries, I guarantee they will have an "accident" (as Trump already has in a small, test-run way - see http://www.wnd.com/2016/02/trumps-plane-makes-emergency-landing/ ). But far more likely is that the elections will be "adjusted" to make sure the "correct" candidate actually wins. To quote a famous socialist, if elections mattered, they would be illegal.
y2kjbk (4846 D(G))
07 Feb 16 UTC
Could you imagine if Sanders won the popular vote in the primary and wasn't nominated? The DNC would be handing the election to the Republicans.
Tolstoy (1962 D)
07 Feb 16 UTC
Actually I can imagine that, much like Ron Paul won the state conventions in several states in 2012 and the teleprompter-readers at the Republican national convention insisted on pretending he didn't exist, and the convention rules were re-written to prevent any kind of Paulian populist uprising (which, ironically, may bite them in the ass this year as Trump wins according to the partyarchists' rules). When threatened with the prospect of a Trump or Cruz or Rubio presidency, I expect most "progressive" voters will very predictably fall into line behind Hillary, not wanting an "evil right-winger" to win the presidential election.
JECE (1248 D)
07 Feb 16 UTC
y2kjbk: If that happened I wouldn't put it passed Bernie to run an independent campaign out of righteous anger. Especially if Trump or Bloomberg challenged the Republican Party line, it might actually work.

Tolstoy: Nothing you say should stop you from voting for Bernie. If he's not dead by the time your state primary comes along, send a vote his way.
Jeff Kuta (2066 D)

That's 'evil "right winger"'

Good grief after that disaster of a debate I'm not so sure about Rubio finishing in second, let alone a solid second. Also not convinced he isn't more of a maniac than Cruz.

Kasich is becoming more possible, and that's about as much hope as Republicans can get.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
07 Feb 16 UTC
Kasich isn't going to get the nomination.
y2kjbk (4846 D(G))
07 Feb 16 UTC
My dad would vote Bush over Clinton, I think I'd vote the same. I'd probably vote Kasich over Clinton too. Probably not Christie. The three frontrunners are garbage.
TrPrado (461 D)
07 Feb 16 UTC
I know he won't get it, but that's pretty much the only way for Republicans to really, really get the swing states. He'll do well in New Hampshire, and people will actually look at him, but he won't stick in a lot of the other states, which think Rubio is the best competition against Trump. I hope they stop considering Cruz now. He literally admitted last night that he pretty much couldn't work with Congress (because they hate him more than the American people hate him) and instead of working with them to get Obama's "unconstitutional" executive orders taken out, he would just issue some of his own on day one.
Putin33 (111 D)
08 Feb 16 UTC
LOL that fiasco when Carson Trump and Kasich botched their cues to walk on stage was the funniest thing I've seen in a while.
TrPrado (461 D)
08 Feb 16 UTC
Honestly I think the only thing Carson adds to the competition is humor on debates.
"I'm not just up here to add beauty to the stage."
And then when Kasich pretty much made fun of Bush being desperate to speak when his name was mentioned was also great.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
08 Feb 16 UTC
Prado, the fact that Cruz voters haven't seen that since he literally shut down the government leads me to believe they won't now either.
y2kjbk (4846 D(G))
08 Feb 16 UTC
Carson said it himself, he adds "beauty" to the stage. He could have been more blunt and said he adds color to the stage.
TrPrado (461 D)
08 Feb 16 UTC
He's not running for president, he's practicing his stand-up. Obama has taught us that's half the job, though.
Putin33 (111 D)

Carson is making a killing off of book sales. Let's dispense with this notion that Carson doesn't know what he's doing, he knows exactly what he's doing.
TrPrado (461 D)
09 Feb 16 UTC
There was a thread on here from bo asking whether we thought Carson was an idiot. Our consensus was that the man is actually really smart, but also a terrible choice for a political position.

How do you pick your allies?
Do you go into a game with a preconceived idea of who you want to ally with? Do you choose based on the country, the press, or the personalities? Do you choose your ally based on your target's press, or your ally's press? What goes in to your decision process?

Making a parametric description
Hi guys,
I want to make a parametric description as the basis for my logo, so it has to look pretty enough for that. Can I create the graph online or using some downloadable software? My graphic calculator doesn't really make it a pretty picture.
I just want to enter the parameters etc. and print the result.
