I'm certainly with wjessop on this. Calling someone an Antisemite just because he doesn't support Israel is way out of order. It might be that for some or a majority of the Israeli people Israeli=Jews in general, but that's not the case for the rest of the world.
In DK we threat our jews very well. In fact, no minority get's the media attention when they get stepped on so easily. Not being antisemite here, just pointing out how it is. They are good citizens who try to make DK a even more peaceful place. After the shootings in Cph. the jewish community were in grief with the rest of DK. What did their leaders do? They acted like good danes - not Israelis.
And what did the leader of Israel do - he called the jews from Denmark "home" because DK and Europe were not safe anymore. Goes without saying, we didn't take kindly to such an invitation to our neighbors and friends.
Heres my attempt on a simple explanation of the difference between the three groups of PALESTINIANS you mentioned:
In Israel: Israeli citizen but assimilated by the state as a second degree citizen.
In Palestine: Under threat from Israel, but normally only fight back with rocks, and demonstrations. As they do not belong to any state they are in fact stateless and do not have any real citizen rights.
In Gaza: Locked in by Israel and Egypt. Fights back like David vs Goliath, but here Goliath always "wins" and a hostile episode often ends in a brutal retaliation from Israel. Have no rights what so ever.
The fact that you won't call them Palestinians shows, that you do not acknowledge their right to any part of Palestine. This is a very dangerous form of Zionism which insures that there will only be two possible outcomes of the continuing conflict.
As wjessop have already pointed out, your try to separate the last two weeks from the rest of the history between you and your the Palestinians is an attempt to color the situation in your general direction.
Steephie, I hope you do not fall for such simple propaganda. Cause then you have a lot to learn from this game.
Octavious, hopefully you do not buy the headliner. Israelis are being killed for being Israelis, not for being Jewish. Just as Palestinians are being killed for being Palestinians, not for being Muslims.
It is not religion that is at the base of these problems. It is nationalism. It is no different from what have caused conflict in Yugoslavia, Ukraine and so on.
To answer your original question more directly, Baskineli:
Media awareness in DK right now: New Goverment and it's program>Refugees>National footballteam>Syria>Turkey>Ukraine........ [all other stories] Palestine+Israel relationship.
Simple reason. Israelis have lost much of that special bond with DK by the acts of it military and settlers the last many years. Israel have been the total dominating big brother in the conflict for decades. Danes do not look kindly on the stronger bullying the weak. That's one of the reasons for Israeli horrors not giving any airtime in DK. The distance between DK and Israel have simply grown a lot the last years. Especially after the last major attack on Gaza. Of course, the fact that it has become everyday news ain't helping it. But we used to get news from Israel. Now we don't.
But hey, I doubt that you hear of every part of violence in DK, even when it's brutal and/or systematic.
It's just like we didn't hear much about Turkey until the bombs this weekend. Or that we do not hear much about violence in South America and Latin America.
