Oh noes...the AIDS Researchers...
Just listened to Obama blathering about the AIDS researchers on the Malaysian flight. Oh noes...the AIDS researchers....suddenly this flight is more important than others, because of the AIDS researchers...

If it were just shmucks like you and I that had died…not so big a deal. But the AIDS researchers…oh noes…Anyone else think that every life is precious, not just the AIDS researchers….OH NOES!!!

WBC SoundCloud
The Westboro Baptist Church has a SoundCloud page. They have 7h30 worth of parodies, some good, some bad (in terms of singing, production, etc.).

In particular, 666 (Pumped-up Kicks) is fairly well done.

What I've Been Saying About Gaza:
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/israel-iron-dome-could-prolong-195600244.html Main quote inside, but essentially--the Iron Dome, which has (thankfully) stopped hundreds of rocket attacks in just a few days now, has taken all pressure off Netanyahu to negotiate, while Hamas arguably stands to gain more from prolonging the conflict--ie, shooting rockets knowing they'll be intercepted and reprisals will come--than by making peace. So, settle in, boys and girls...

what is the average age of webdiplomacy players?
Is there a statistic? I want to know. In a game I felt I was playing with the stubbornness of a child. He/she wanted ALL his way. All the negotiation was "this is mine mine mine". He/she couldn't see the repercussions of a bad decision because he/she wanted the gratification of now.

Seriously, knowing the age of a person before starting a game or a negotiation can help a lot. Psychological speaking.

Best free webdesign software
I'm very likely going to design another website, but unlike last time, this isn't for school or something, so I can use all the tools I want to make my job easier. What software would you recommend? There's quite a lot to choose from and I don't want to try them all, nor spend extra hours because I'm missing some very useful features...

Do you recommend Chrono24 to actually purchase watches, or just to get an idea of prices?
Draugnar (0 DX)

I have a Bulova Marine Star 24 jewel divers watch I paid about $500 for and the Precisionist line is also quite nice. The mid-size quartz Omega Seamaster is a little over $1000 if you find it on sale.

The Marine Star is nice. Not sure I could pay so much for a quartz watch, though.

I don't think you'll find that I've said I work harder than people paid less than me.
Putin33 (111 D)
16 Jul 14 UTC
You did say you couldn't even find time to cook but "cook when you can". But talking about your expensive watches in the middle of the workday? Plenty of time for that.
abgemacht (1076 D(G))
16 Jul 14 UTC
I said I had less time to cook with a job than I did in grad school.

Let me explain to you how cooking works. You typically prepare email immediately before eating it. Even if cooking only takes 45 minutes, it's 45 minutes that needs to be done at a particular time of the day. If I get home from work at 7 and don't want to eat almost at 8, then, while I still have several hours free in total, I don't really have time to cook.

Perhaps if you, too, should ask about getting a watch, since this concept seems to be confusing you.
abgemacht (1076 D(G))
16 Jul 14 UTC
*a meal. While my cooking isn't fantastic, I suspect it's better than email.

Putin33 (111 D)
16 Jul 14 UTC
Yes the concept of setting some arbitrary time where I am biologically obligated to eat otherwise I can claim I have "no time" while I sit around playing videogames from 830-12 at night is very confusing to me.

"Perhaps if you, too, should ask about getting a watch, since this concept seems to be confusing you."

No because then I'd do asinine things like refuse to cook because I can't cook a certain meal before 8 o'clock because I while I can change tired in my Jos. A Bank suit I apparently am unable to cook a basic meal quicker than 45 minutes.

16 Jul 14 UTC
Abge - There is one that is a 20 something jewel automatic. I'm wearing it right now. It may not be part of the Marine Star line but it is a diver's style water-resistant watch. Sporty, durable (held up better than my quartz Marine Star so far), and a reliable automatic. I'll look up the details and get a link to you later.
Draugnar (0 DX)
16 Jul 14 UTC
Here is one similar, although mine looks more diver like.

@Draug

I was referring to the Omega. The Seamaster looks like a nice watch, but I really can't see myself paying more that $100 for a quartz watch.
Draugnar (0 DX)
16 Jul 14 UTC
Ah. You said Marine Star which is the Bulova line. The Omega may be a quartz, but the 300m is waterproof to 300 meters with a helium release and a bracelet so heavy, smooth, and firm it makes every other one feel like cheap junk. The bracelet and case alone are worth every penny of $1000. They just put a quality quartz movement in instead of an automatic movement. But the rest of the watch is every bit the quality of the full size 300m automatics.
Draugnar (0 DX)
16 Jul 14 UTC
And I have a number of Bulova quartz watches that cost $250 plus.
abgemacht (1076 D(G))
16 Jul 14 UTC
Yeah, sorry, I was unclear.

Yeah, my Citizens is a quartz and was around $200. I'm saying, now having worn mechanicals, I greatly prefer them and wouldn't want to spend money on a quartz again.

@abge, chrono 24 has some reputable dealers, but i use it as a gauge of the market for both new and used and also for viewing models....if you know a dealer, best to use someone you already know...at your price point there will only be a difference between new and used, at higher price points knowing someone will help save good money

Putin, you are as classless as i thought you were, go away,
Draugnar (0 DX)
16 Jul 14 UTC
But Putin, we spend money so the working class can make money. If we don't blow money on watches, cars, and wardrobes, then somebody is going to be out of work when the manufacturers of premium watches, cars, and wardrobes shut down.
