That's just by volume. Wine tends to be, 12-14% alcohol and beer between 3-5%

Worse case scenario is you drank all of that in one hour. Your BAC would be about .15%.

That's good enough to be near black out drunk.

I'm 21 steephie. I should add approximate percentages, I suppose. Wine - typically 12-13% abv Beer 5-10% abv Hard liquor 25-35% abv.

The reason I try and avoid still feeling drunk in the morning is it means my body wasn't able to metabolize all the alcohol while I was asleep. While the amount of time I have available to sleep after a night out might vary, if I'm not going to get much sleep I aim to drink less. I consider the ability of my body to metabolize the alcohol by the time I wake up to be a good measure of not drinking too much.

I don't know how old steppie is, but if he's over 16 drinking was legal is the country I seem to remember him being from up until January this year.

In my personal opinion, one you've hit the legal drinking age once, there is absolutely no need to do so again to justify what you're doing.

I drank when underage, but I didn't feel the need to attempt to flaunt it to the world through the internet. I also understood the basic concept of proof and BAC.

Not really, how much do you want to spend, and what type do you like to drink?

A regular bottle of wine (assuming you didn't get a big 2L bottle) will get you 4-6 glasses depending on how much you pour per glass. 4 glasses would be mostly full and 6 glasses would be less than half full each, so 5 glasses is probably the "average" pour, or what you would get in a restaurant, so we can reasonably call a bottle of wine 5 drinks. Add the beer and you have six drinks over four hours.

For an normal sized adult who can have a glass of wine or two with dinner without feeling buzzed, a bottle of wine over the course of an evening isn't that much. Personally, one bottle will leave me fairly buzzed, so long as I'm eating or having a glass of water now and again. If I'm drinking on an empty stomach, two glasses of wine and I'm a pretty happy camper. If I pound two glasses of wine, even on a full stomach, and I'm going to be pretty talkative and happy. Its all about how fast you drink and if you're eating.

To put is this way Stepphie. A bottle of wine at 10% abv and a bottle of beer and 5% abv. Is 4 servings of alcohol. If you want to approximate you BAC and thus where about you are on the chart of intoxication. You can use the BAC wiki page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_alcohol_content) using your weight and subtracting 0.01 from your BAC for every 40 minutes should give you an approximation of the level. Then take a look at the chart above the bodyweight chart. If you don't like what you see for that BAC, chances are you drank too much.

Grolsch and Heineken aren't too bad for a teenager, IMO. At least they have some modicum of flavor. They're good gateway beers to better brews.

It's not illegal to drink on private terrain, at least not when you're at least 16, I don't know about younger.
So I did not break a law there. That's a fact.

Dangerous is what I'm trying to figure out. Do you consider it dangerous to drink a beer and a bottle of white wine in 3-4 hours at my age (that'd be 16, approaching 17)? If so, please tell me and/or explain.
