me too, troodonte. it's been nearly three weeks since C finished.

i'm fine with creating the games today with an 8 day sign up period, instead of the 3rd with a four day sign up. i still need someone from Group 1 to create the games, distribute the links and password, and send the links to figle. If a player from that group sees this and wants to handle it, please make the games 5pt, 36hr, anon, wta, no press, 8 day sign up. also, please post here before creating the games so others in the group know its being done and don't create multiple sets of games.

i'm going to create Group 2's games now. I'll post links here and send out password.

@ figlesquidge: do you have time between now and the 3rd to handle re-randomizing if its needed?

hmm, eight days is not an option. i'm going to set it for 10 day joining period. if someone sets up Group 1's games today, please do the same. if that doesn't happen until tomorrow, then 7 day period is ok.

only if a player draws the same country in every game. the same country twice is ok.

@Kamen, in order to ensure I was advancing I wanted to get as many SCs as possible. because we have a 6 way and one or two solos, it was going to come down to the higest SC count. I was watching closely to see if you guys were going to turn around, if either of you did, I could tap some support and throw Turkey a solo in a year while picking up one or two centers, so eating you guys up pumped my score and was low risk. And, it was a really boring game for the last 4 years, I had to do something a little exciting.

How do you guys feel about playing on Oli & make it a fog of war gunboat?
Not for this tournament, but for future games or a FoW tournament.

What is this fog of war? Is that where you play without knowing where anybody else's units are?

Fow is where you only see the connecting spaces to yours. Nothing else. You have no idea what is going on until they just pop out of the fog next to you.

I've played FoW gunboat, and whilst it was quite a good fun to start with, it didn't really work.
There was a solo because, once down to three, you have to guess who has most SCs to stop them, and the wrong guess was made.
FoW public press would be good I think - just enough communication to talk about the map, but still with that element of realism that any message you send through will be intercepted.

re gunboats: am i checking people are different nation in every game or just not the same in all 3?
