I would like to see this move to the freer model of anybody who wants to host a game simply posting here, and starting a list with his name on it. Anybody who wants to join simply replies adding his name to the list. When the list gets to 7, they create a game and play.

For now though, I can see Balaran's been putting a huge amount of effort getting a game together, and I honestly appreciate it. After last night's epic game, I hope to see more regulars so it gets easier to get a game going.

at this stage if you expected a list to fill by posting in this thread I think you would be incredibly lucky to fill it. 55CC tried this idea and is yet to start a club game and Geofram and virtuslatin have also done similar in this thread to no avail. This club and its awareness is not yet at a stage where people are naturally coming to this thread first for a game.

The other problem with allowing anyone to post a game on the thread and fill it, is who is going to ensure that there are no players in the game who shouldn't be there?

For the moment at least we need a host willing to ask around to fill a game. Maybe when games are easy to fill and we have a large playerbase, this will be possible, Certainly if it is regular players wanting to play. New players to the club need to be explained the rules as they are unlikely to bother to read them unless pushed to! Who bothers to read rules if they don't feel they need to?
