ghug - I get the feel from him that he sits there, looks at the whole situation, thinks things through and then give a good comment into the game.

Warden - few posts, but look like meaningful. I can see some insight coming from him, like "thinking what x/y would think"

jamie - much contribution and eagerness. I don't like that he would be ok lynching me, but objectively, I think he is true. Wrong, but true.

ND - I don't know. I can't judge him right now, he seems to be ok, but his reactions to ghug are derailing me in my judgement.

@Zorclex: I think it was more than twice. Lol, your counter-response is, look at how bad ND’s first post was! I could easily run through everyone’s first post and state how bad they were and how to use your words: ‘didn’t do anyone any favors’.

@Vecna: (Page 10) Um attack-dog? So, pointing out suspicious play makes me an attack dog or catering to some old meta that I don’t acknowledge, care about, or even think about? Okay, dumb, not surprising that you said it. (Page 11) Um, you are a terrible player. If I focused on you in the past it was because your play was beyond-ghug level atrocious/abysmal. Plus, I was right sometimes.

@Xorxes: The phrased I coined, “information farming” is something that I argue scum do to gather a town consensus on why people are voting a certain way. That way a scum can pivot to the universally agreed reason for voting a player. It’s a hypothesis, but I think the phrase works in the context of page 3. Zorclex quickly voted a high number of people in quick succession. After voting off Vecna he asked why people were voting Vecna. To me, that looks like a player wanting a reason, hence information farming, from others to justify a stance. Does that make sense?

@ND sorry, maybe that's from the german way to say it "aus der Bahn werfen" and is not good translateable. It means that it's off the normal, the expected, so the judgement has no base. Your stance to ghug just throws me off, especially after brain asked me that quickly. It's just an impression, a feeling, so I try to rebuild it with facts and logic.

The translation you might be looking for is "throwing me off my train of thought", kakarot. It's sorta close.

I think if we don't find anything more certain, looking at the people who were trying to push my lynch for out of game reasons may be beneficial, such as Kakarot, zorclex, and Ezio.

why would we focus Day 1 exclusively on hunting people who have personal vendetta's against you chaqa? I realize their votes are moronic, but you had to know that was going to happen. I am stunned that it happened to you only and not guak however. guak was the detriment to town last game, not you.

Actually ND, you always townread me when im scum, and scumread me when im town. The only people that have consequently properly read me as scum have been xorxes.....and maybe chaqa a little.

What has Chaqa done to make you think the votes on him are moronic brainbomb? Maybe the newbies are right, and youre wrong? Chaqa is scum, ive just copscanned him.

DemonOverlord was asked a question in the first 8 pages and neglected to respond when asked simply if her vote for Vecna was because he was trying to direct a vig shot on Page 1.

She has posted twice after the question telling people they need to chill and stop posting to the game.

Xorxes was asked directly about his lack of town organization this game. His response was he was playing a press game and wanted to wait til after the joke phase was over.

In the aftermath of this, he had no further questions for me but he posts a few questions.
1. “@ND. what do you mean by "information farming"? It seems that a quick succession of votes can be used as a way to be on the record for voting for one of your scum buddies without actually putting any pressure on them, but I don't see how it helps for collecting information. And if it was information farming somehow, wouldn't that be a town tell rather than a scum tell?”

2. “@teacon, are you going to be lurking this game? You always end up being scum when you lurk.”

3. “@Floodgates, can you explain why my vote for kakarroto was abnormal behavior from me? What would be my normal day 1 voting pattern behavior?”

So here in point 1. he is trying to defend zorclex saying that rapid voting and 37 posts in 8 pages is a town tell.
In point 2 he tells us that if teacon lurks, teacon is always scum. This is an incredibly half assed question for what we usually see from town aligned xorxes.
In point three he hacksaws floodgates and tries to redirect attention back to kakarroto.

Yeah so I decided that playing on mobile wasn't a good idea after all. Reading, maybe, but not typing.

D1 shennanigans well underway, with the additional burden of profanity. C'est la Vie. Here are some thoughts:
-brainbomb's meta shift is confusing, but I like it. fwiw, he did advertise that this was coming.
-I can't tell if jamiet is imitating Dr. Seuss or a rapper. Or both. It's delightful.
-ND with an anchor. No vote though, so he's got to return. That's helpful. Lurky scum anchors generally include votes. Useless town anchors don't.

me pg1: Self votes? Sounds like reaction tests to me.
me pg 5: brainbomb has a solid point about Ike's reaction test strategy. It's a good way to not vote for someone else. The same doesn't seem to apply to MF's self-vote.

@RagingIke - what's your mafia experience? How much have you played before?

@vecna @ghug - I played with Kakarroto on discord 4. His opener here did sound relatively forced (compared to everyone else), but it doesn't sound out of character for him. He's not a native english speaker, so I have to imagine trying to sound like a rapper is going to come across strangely, but not alignment-indicative. Brainbomb saved the logs for that game, so if you want to see what he sounded like go check it out.

@vecna - why the early call for vig? do you still feel the same way? Also, where did brain slip?

@chaqa - I think the critiques re: discord 4 are on effective play, not effective reads. Don't take it personally, or wind up in a tunnel here because of a pickup game.

@brain @zorclex - can you guys start disagreeing about alignment issues within the game? Pressure/disagreements re: character attacks aren't that helpful at the moment. At present I have a gut feeling that the two of you are the same alignment... dunno which one.

IMO rapid fire votes are a valid town strategy, if dangerous. I learned that from brainbomb's town play in past games.


@xorx - I missed the first few hours of D1 for an evening meeting, then went straight to bed because it was a long one. I'm catching up on the game as I go. And for pete's sake lurking is metanormative for me anyway, regardless of role or alignment.

Ah, Vecna has a playstyle that largely annoys me. Hence my early vote on him - the aggression and desire to be a town leader is unappealing. Is it scummy? Yet to be discovered.

Why on earth are people voting Kakarroto? He is the closest thing to Towny McTownface we've ever had.

@Krellin, not sure, but you may have mentioned before that D1 is for Psychics. Do you just copy and paste the same boring stuff to look busy? If so it's not working, you look scummy. It's not just me that thinks that. I've contacted Mystic Meg, Nostradamus, Gypsy Rose-Lee and Hecate and they all agree you're scum.

Also Teacons big post reminds me of his scum play from last game. He writes a bunch of observations/questions that are all rather stating the obvious without any real thought behind them. He just wants to immitate presence and activity.
