@Bo_Sox48: You should have considered your question more carefully. As you originally wrote it, it did indeed make no sense, like I said. I now see what you mean. I actually assumed you were being flippant and silly. Note that what you said was, I quote:

Literally interpreted, that would mean that if, following D2, there were still, let's say, 20 players alive, all 20 of them would have the choice of asking for a replacement (even if they wanted to continue) or being modkilled.
That would of course be silly, so I thought you were being silly.
Now that you've articulated your question properly, my view is that if someone requests a replacement after D2, the substitute will be assured that they do not have to take up the role - and indeed should only do so if they really want to. If none of the subs want to come on board at a late stage, that's okay, and a modkill will result.
Is that okay?
