All right. To summarize to people still confused what just happened, yesterday drunk brain decided to pull a joke and pretend to replace some players. It was a pretty bad joke to be fair, and resulted in Demon asking to be replaced out. Brain got upset and after a series of events he ended up deleting the mafia channel the mafia game was being run on.

This lead to some of the players not wanting bb to GM the game. While he was drunk he told me and Yoyo to take over the game. (Leading to Yoyo's announcement)
This morning when he woke up sober he wanted to GM again but eventually decided it was best if he took a break from internet and webdip. We thank brain for a lot of the ideas behind the setup, and wish him the best.

Brainbomb is no longer a GM. It is just Yoyo and I.

The game is back to it's original starting date in a week. There were some edits to the setup I wanted to make before it got posted so a new game thread will be up then.

About the end votes, it only ends if the majority of the players are in agreement on end hammering the same person. The person can't be on their wagon, but if the majority of the other players decide to lynch him, the hammer will still happen.

I had no idea what date I even confirmed for and I didn't follow this, but I'm dropping. I think I'm done with mafia possibly forever.

You guys should consider postponing this game. It's pretty apparent that webDip could use a break from mafia. I'll be dropping from this one too.

I don't know why it would be postponed. The game is set for the 31st and that is when everyone confirmed for. If people drop though you should probably announce it here so the gm's can find additional people or contact the substitutes.

It seems like a mark of civilized people, not only that they moderate their own behavior, but more importantly that they are able to weather the storms of those who do not. From the perspective of someone who doesn't have the time or energy to get too emotionally invested in the forum here, I'd interpret brainbomb's post above as an apology for his drunken mistakes. As one who has been forgiven for greater mistakes than this, and I for one am willing to forgive him for whatever happened. I'm rather glad to see how many people feel that they have a vested interest in seeing things run well on webDip or webDipMaf, so it seems to me that the solution might be to direct that positive energy towards building and repairing relationships. That might include "cooldown" hiatus for ourselves, if that seems to be a constructive solution personally or for any relationships made here. We are a civilized people, and can weather this.

That said, I'm in for beginning m20 whenever, noting that I have to work around a real life schedule. Thanks to brainbomb for what looks to be a really fun setup, and thanks to flum and yoyo for continuing to GM. Thanks really to you all, complete strangers, for coming together to organize and play a fun game.

Yeah I just want to say that I do still want to, and have wanted to play in this game. I thought things were starting to become tolerable between brainbomb and I, but that joke left a sour taste in my mouth and to prevent escalation I simply backed out. Unfortunately he was drunk and things got much too out of hand (jokes on me :[) which lead to the events you have been reading about. Sometimes people just get much too invested and I think a break from this website will be good for brainbomb.

That being said, I believe that Yoyo and Flum will be able to GM a good game, and I am looking forward to it if they still want me in the roster. I also think that this drama will cease existing now that brainbomb is leaving to cool down, and that the community doesn't so much need a break from mafia as much as brainbomb might need a break from it. I am sure things will go smoothly from here on.

@y2k would be a shame to lose you. Have you started to represent us in World Series (or whatever it was).

I don't see why anyone would drop now, y2k. Brain left and I don't think there will be any further trouble. Hopefully we can have a good game and put this behind us.

We could add a twist in the GB game - as long as you're still alive in mafia you can enter orders in the GB game, but if you're killed in mafia, you are obligated to enter all holds in GB.
