I am new to the webdip site, but I'll admit I'm not new to the game of Diplomacy and have been playing various war strategy games for a while.

So, what happens if we actually have a no show in the first year? I know it's still early in the phase, but I just wanted to check.

Nigee, I like to think of myself as a dark horse in this race, as I have going on 3 years on and off experience playing diplomacy in other media, (droidippy, playdip [which I hated], and a few on facebook way back when) so who knows how close 25/1 is to actual.

Besides, I tend to take the "never tell me the odds" approach anyway.

I feel my odds are getting longer by the minute ..... still haven't worked out how to communicate effectively with people in Diplomatic terms, after a little while of being nice I want to personally kill people, track them down and slay them. I say that but my therapist said I'm making very good progress so maybe I'm just being a paranoid schizophrenic again with psychotic tendencies .... what do experts know anyways. Where are the voices coming from, someone tell them to stop.....

Do we plan on having EOG discussions once the games are done? If so, should we keep them separate or just have one End of Tourney discussion?

As the games normally end at slightly different times you could use this thread to discuss the matches as they end, that is what we have done in the past. Are you still a 25/1 shot?

Being the first one to be eliminated in this game, I really don't have much to contribute to this discussion. The early Russian-German cooperation in the north left me with few options, then France heading back towards the Atlantic was the final nail in the coffin for me. Oh well, still 4 more games to go.
