I have played nearly 100 games. Of those 100 games 45 have been with cheaters. There is not a doubt in my mind my record has consequently been affected. Can myself and the undersigned create new accounts to start over because our records have been trampled by cheaters?

I am not signing so that I can get a new account (quite happy with mine, though I'm certain I could go through and find lots of examples of cheating affecting my games), but I am signing in support of Santa's initiative. 45% is pretty fucked up.

I didn't sign my name, I signed "AH." I support the initiative to solve the cheating nightmare, but I don't support erasing half the site in the name of the good of the site.

And I'm pretty sure I have seen people use you as a meme before o_O

Dub, I can't believe you caught onto that. That was supposed to be my hidden initiative to remove Austria-Hungary from the game and recreate it as "The Holy Roman Empire" so that it would be much more difficult to defeat… it's too easy now.

I don't think your record has been affected significantly. I think over 50% of my games have been with cheaters -- i bet sarg and jimbo alone are in 100+ games. But I don't blame my mediocre record on that.

I just did a count of my games. Which have two or more multi's in them. (I didn't even check if they were actually even multi's of each other to keep it simple.) And I only had two or more multi's in 8/103 games. Two or three of which I think the multi's weren't together. So 5-8% of my games. (Have I been really lucky?)

I can honestly say, I've had players resign in 25+ games. (Maybe even as many as 60 or 70 I have forced quite a few cancels due to CD's) I think resigns have played a much bigger factor in my record than anything else. In particular my draw numbers are way out of wack because I try and make people draw (or cancel) if we have a resign. And my survived/defeated records have been heavily influenced by CD's and other people exploiting them.

So while its just my opinion, I think CDing is far more major factor in my experience of this site than Multi-ing ever was.

HRE would die so quickly. Starts with eight centers, leaving Italy not viable at all, and taking no centers away from the four perimeter powers that would almost certainly want to eat it up. /tangent

Did a quick recount: between 80 and 90% of my games have been with a caught cheater. I bet you that is a webdip record!

kestas, and through him, the mods, has decided that the moderating philosophy will be to interfere as little and as fairly as possible. Does that mean we miss a lot of cheaters? Yes. But, it also means no I no cent person has ever been banned and you are all free to do almost anything you want on this site.

That is the risk you take by playing here. If you don't cheat, you're safe from the horrors that typically go along with online moderators. The price you pay is more cheaters. If you don't like that philosophy, then you should join a site that has more Draconian mods, because that's the only way I know to solve your problem.

Fine, but i reserve the prerogative to restart my account secretly because the mods have allowed me to play nearly half of my games with a cheater. Catch me if you can!
