For whatever reason, for all he's saying, Romney just isn't getting much movement on the tracker...

I'm curious what everyone else thinks so far...why is that?

I think it's because with a lot of the topics he actually agrees with Obama, and he can't outright say that, so he's sidetracking.

Can somebody explain to me how Romney can hold that smirk for so long? I just tried to do it and my jaw was hurting after about 10 seconds.

Interesting both are trying to tie the foreign policy back to the economy, but then, that being policy #1, that makes sense.

This is NOT the 1980s, sir--I and most Americans could name a good half or even a full dozen countries that are a more immediate threat than Russia...

And Poland? With respect to any Poles here...who cares, in the wake of the Cold War ending and enough problems in Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America??? O.o

You didn't pay attention. He didn't say Russia was a direct or immediate threat. He said Russia was our biggest geopolitical adversary. And he is correct. Russia and China both have veto power (just as we do) in the UN. They can prevent the UN from acting in a manner that is not only good for the US but for the free world as a whole.

I would personally say China is now, not Russia, but certainly the veto power makes Russia a formidable diplomatic foe...

The Tea Party will fall flat on its face and Republican will once again become real Republican. People can't be assholes forever, especially when someone else's policies start working and there's not much to complain about anymore. That's when a third ballot party will emerge.. assholes will become moderate, moderate will become independent. In an ideal world, that is.

Of course, in an ideal world, there'd be no assholes. Or maybe just independent people brave enough to give their ideas, not party ideas. Or maybe no parties. Or maybe… you get my drift.

If there is one action that worries me, it is that one. Sure, we import more from them than we export, but that declaration would result in China so pissed that they lowered their currency reporting even lower. Having an iron fist government with total control like China has, means they are willing to take a short term hit to make a point.

I'm also sick of hearing "I know what we need to do to fix this nation!" Without so much as a hint of what that entails. This debate only ensured one thing for me: thanksgiving is going to be hell with the family no matter who is elected.

I find it ironic that Obama thinks raising taxes on the rich and businesses is somehow encouraging them to invest in our country and bring business back home. Hmmm... "President says he wants us here, but he wants us to pay more to come home. I think I will move more operations over here to China/Dominican Republic/Mexico." *That* is what business is going to say.
