Just because you don't agree with a point doesn't make it *retarded*. I'll admit, using an inflammatory statement as the title for this thread may have been an unfair troll move. I never said I agreed or disagreed with the gentleman that wrote the editorial. Therefore, I cannot be held accountable for something I did not write. I can be held accountable for bringing it into the Forum. And, so far, I consider this thread a success. This thread has spawned a handful of insightful, intelligent posts. Unfortunately, it has also spawned a number of unintelligent posts. (mostly from you, mapleleaf)

Sorry. I did not mean to imply that celibacy = asexuality. But, like I said, let's assume that homosexuality is not a choice. Someone who is homosexual can always choose to be celibate, and become homoerotic, or teach themselves to surpress all sexual desires, making themselves strictly asexual. I think that very few people are naturally asexual. I also think that, over time, you can make yourself so immune to sexual thoughts that you could potentially become just like someone who is naturally asexual. For example, a lifelong nun.
