Iraq was a war that had 0 merit... we went in for oil in my opinion... Afghanistan, however, is a war that needed to be fought, and leaving before the job is finished there would be an absolute travesty!

just look at the consequences of leaving Afghanistan...if we pull out all our troops to the saftey of our homeland, then we will give the terrorists a safe haven to flourish and become powerful.

guess what pakistan has? unstable economy, corrupt government, and nuclear weapons. guess what country is right next to pakistan? afghanistan.

leaving afghanistan without securing it, driving out al qaeda, and stablizing the afghan gov and military, the terrorists will form their base in afghanistan and will have big, big opportunity to get thier hands on pakistan's nucs, which would spell disaster in all caps for the USA.

The USA is at war in Afghanistan because God told Geogre Bush to attack. And also to get Osama Bin Ladin, which it has now been revealed was able to walk out of his cave safely into Pakistan. Rumsfeld admitted this.
