I took this quiz, and I'm quite liberal, with a slight libertarian leaning.
As I read through the results, I came across a few sentences that epitomize my disgust for the current American political system, and the reason I think our country is in serious trouble.
"Where are you in the culture war? On the liberal side, or the conservative side? This scale may apply more to the US than other countries."
The implication here being that there IS a culture war, and I think many Americans see it the same way, as Liberals and Conservatives being nothing short of enemies. People tend to get tossed into one camp or another, and generalized ever after, and each "party" only focuses on the negatives of the "other side". The pessimism and cynicism is depressing, and I think that Americans, in general, need to change their views, not of political policy itself, but the way they view others, and the way they let the party system control their lives.
