@Hamilton - Have fun. fyi you wont be able to overdose unless you got bunk poison so don't worry about that aspect and have fun. Ignore all the take lots of Vitamin C bull etc. I recommend Salvia though if you'd like a true cognitive hallucinogen as opposed to a synesthetic simulating experience. Salvia requires a sitter but if you are self aware and know your drugs LSD wont be so extreme.

Is there such a thing as a person who isn't self-aware? Or is there somethign lost in translation here?

Hmm, apparently acid causes sudden flashbacks for weeks or even months (sometimes for the rest of your life if you take loads/do it often) afterwards. This generally doesn't matter TOO much, though it could be extremely dangerous when driving for instance. Not that I'd know or ANYTHING like THAT. I just have this on...high authority.

@Synalon Etuul - In my opinion all psychosis' is, is a self perpetuated mindset and the only reason a drug would be a factor is because like any other habit, it becomes a neurological regime that one associates X and Y etc to which can in chronic use perpetuate some type instilled dementia.

Agreed with texasdeluxe...just sit back and relax. It being your first time, I'd highly recommend that you are in a familiar setting and with friends.

And don't plan on going to bed anytime soon. Dope helps with coming down. Probably best to not drink cuz you will never feel the alcohol.

yea, I did some research but I wanted some first hand knowledge. I was hoping Chrisp would comment.

my advice is dont stay in the city or any kind of dirty environment. stay with good friends in a park or a garden...or a club. things to be interested in ...clouds, trees, music, friends, games... especially the clouds.
food- you probably wont be hungry but its nice to have some good drinks around, quality juice etc and good snacks- nothing drenched in msg and preservatives but , fruit can be good too. i always found on drugs that when it comes to drinks and snacks Quality counts, cheap really does taste ...cheap.
best not to have any unresolved issues with anyone you are tripping with as well.

Why the 'not interested' opener?

I am very interested in such substances but my interest is in how to make damn sure they never do the damage to my son that they did to my former friends at school (I am a child of the 60s).

Anecdotal or not, I can state with absolute conviction that I have never known a user who claimed to be in control of their habit and then, later, went on to make anything of their lives. Quite the reverse in fact.

I am going to do what I'm going to do, so I'd appreciate being left alone while i do it.

@Flashman - There are plenty of successful "users". Yeah, you can say you haven't known any but you don't know a very broad spectrum, no one does. I will say however there are perceptual differences in going the drug path and never meeting it. Myself, I grew, slanged, used everything you've heard of and then some. I was in control and still am, haven't used in 4 years and not in the least bit interested. I grew out of it, but that's just me (not trying to say I'm above people who never do, or haven't. Just wouldn't be true)

its pretty much a given that a lot of teenagers dabble in drugs (60%-70% ??) , the key is to make sure such experimentation doesnt extend too deep or long and is done in a safe manner. . i tried lsd about 3-4 times at university , loved it but havent touched it since . if one starts to do it regularly then that is as you say a sure steady slide downward.
