Its pretty much the only international sport that most countries play. Its pretty important to people on virtually every continent but ours. I dont know much about canadian soccer but I find it odd that our exceptional country failed to even qualify. Thats sad actually. We were great in the last one

We played great in 2014 and put forth a great effort vs germany, portugal and ghana. I was very impressed and the games were a ton of fun to watch

We looked more respectable on an international setting than many traditional soccer powers. To my memory weve outperformed England in the last two world cups. I love the WC and its alot more fun when were at least part of it.

The tv ratings on that are gonna suffer. Im not even sure it will.air on major tv now. Probably get bumped down to SEC network or some crap

Their performance in 2014 was mediocre at best.

The only reason they even advanced to the elimination stage was because the last group game against Germany was meaningless, the game was played in a downpour and Germany barely even tried mainly trying to not get anyone injured.

I root for america in the olympics. Just like the summer games we added a bunch of bogus horse shit events like snowbpard relays and ice skating on trampolines to pad our medal totals.
What I love about the winter games is we dont always win them. In fact alot of countries have incredible downhill skiiers, speed skaters. If we sweep an awards podium the anthem suddenly to me feels special. It has many times brought a tear to my eye seeing us do well in the winter games. Our athletes are way less douchey in the winter games too.
Seriously our summer olympians are trash. Ryan lochte robbing ppl. What a disgrace.
