Italy is an awesome starting country, because France is naturally incentivized not to attack you, and Austria is in no effective position to fight back. you have great influence over the board with tyrolia, and can in a worst case scenario stay alive for a draw as a vital part of a stalemate line, or when moving for the solo easily brea a stalemate line.
