We don't pick mods who can't or choose not to follow the rather simple directions for applying.

Be like me and accidentally send your application to a guy who hadn't been a mod in over a year, though. That will definitely get you picked.

Qualities we look for in new mods:

• Proper capitalization in thread titles

- Spelling "capitalisation" correctly

How much are the mods paid?

Moderators receive a quality living salary of no less then 3 headaches a week. Occasional benefits include getting to drop personal plans to handle a forum crisis, dealing with members threatening legal action, people demanding justice, and handling obnoxious school groups.

Additional responsibilities above include setting Zultar up for a minimum of 15 +1's a week, and pretending he's funny when he posts bad jokes in the forum.

Must be able to ignore bo_sox48's outbursts and no less then 500 gchat messages a week.

There was a time that would have resulted in several prominent now banned cheaters as mods.

In all seriousness though, being a mod is an interesting position and if anyone is considering giving back to the site then it is a good way of doing so.

Being a moderator is a 5/7 good experience. It's like mafia but there's always more scum to lynch, and you have to be nice to the scum at first. I guess it's not really like mafia.
