Can anyone find a problem with this plan
Hawaii's state senate is proposing a bill that would allow medicaid to cover the cost of housing and allegedly save the state millions of dollars annually.

Can anyone find a problem with the plan?

For Libs only - cool article
http://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/politics-government/article136940273.html

This is the story from Rachel Maddow a few days ago, talking about the Russian jet parked next to Trump's jet in Charlotte just before the election. The Russian is a billionaire, part owner of Bank of Cyprus. Of course, you recall that Wilbur Ross is an investor in the Bank of Cyprus. Maybe it's just a coincidence. Maybe it's MURDERRRRRRRR!

Reliability Rating Determination
How is RR determined? As I figure it by NMR/Moves it should be 99. if by CD/Finished it should be 97. Either way it should be above 95. Even the average of the two would be 98. CD: 5. NMR / received: 46/4783
RR: 95% breakdown. Total (finished): 202

Why does life have value in your opinions?
Sorry if this is a weird question but I'm interested in hearing other's perspectives. Is it determined by their potential for happiness, intelligence, and/ or other talents? Does the value of someone's life fluctuate as they get older/ gain experience/ relationships, and/ or based on their actions? Are human lives worth more than other animals and if so why? Does a life inherently have value? Discuss.

Why do veterans get a "public option" for services at the VA?
With all the hospitals to choose from, isn't it wasteful to prop up the VA which is so fraught with problems? Conservatives, you hated the public option when the ACA was being legislated. Why is it ok for veterans? Is it just welfare for conservatives?

Is having a Russia connection a prerequisite to be in the Trump Administration?
Manafort, Flynn, Carter Page, Jeff Sessions, KellyAnne Conway, Wilbur Ross, Rex Tillerson all have Russia ties...

1. Manafort (resigned over Russia connections)
2. Flynn ("resigned" over Russia contacts, "misleading" Pence)
3. Carter Page (worked as investment advisor in Russia for 3 years...disowned by Trump during the campaign)
4. Jeff Sessions (spoke with Russian ambassador 2x during campaign but told Congress under oath that he did not)
5. KellyAnne Conway (her husband represented a firm accused of Russian bribe).
6. Wilbur Ross (vice-chair of Bank of Cyprus, Russia's favorite bank for making bribes -- probably because Russians are big investors in the bank).
7. Rex Tillerson (Exxon CEO got to know Putin personally, although as CEO of Exxon, Tillerson had plenty of legit reasons to meet with Putin)

Did I miss anybody?
Ogion (3882 D)

Undoubtedly, because I am certain more Russian contacts are found in the classified reports

And probably it is required, because if the White House operation is deeply compromised by Russia, Trump can't afford having anyone around who might be loyal to the US.

Don't forget all the ones the Republicans confirmed before they filed the required basic paperwork to the ethics committee. Trump's officials may go down as more corrupt than Nixon's for Watergate or Reagan's for Iran-Contra before the year is out.

Unless this is Trump's secret plan so he can fire them whenever he wants and just say how shocked he was to find out.

here was the question:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/sessions-spoke-twice-with-russian-ambassador-during-trumps-presidential-campaign-justice-officials-say/2017/03/01/77205eda-feac-11e6-99b4-9e613afeb09f_story.html?utm_term=.2256fd0b5744

“Several of the President-elect’s nominees or senior advisers have Russian ties. Have you been in contact with anyone connected to any part of the Russian government about the 2016 election, either before or after election day?”

he said no: it depends on whether or not it concerned with the campaign.

Certain elites are committed to long-term confrontation with Russia.

Probably best to ignore them.
fiedler (1293 D)

Hey Ogion, please explain how the White House might be "deeply compromised by Russia". Please explain how that actually works in practice.
Ogion (3882 D)
02 Mar 17 UTC
The problem is his answer:

"I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I did not have communications with the Russians.”".

That's pretty clearly a lie to Congress. No doubt it doesn't matter because the GOP will never impeach a Republican AG for lying to congress. Party before country.
Ogion (3882 D)
02 Mar 17 UTC
It doesn't help the optics that he is using the same excuse Flynn did
JamesYanik (548 D)
02 Mar 17 UTC
@Ogion

given that Flynn felt compelled to resign over it, I'd imagine Sessions might follow suit.

but hey don't hate, i need bo to give me those lottery numbers
fiedler (1293 D)

Well.... if Trump and co are *secretly_russian_agents* I guess we might as well fire everyone at CIA and NSA for letting him become president.

Ridiculous propaganda and politicking and nothing but.

Bo is right though. Sessions won't resign because there is no one to force him to. Besides, he is too integral to the Trump project they'd be hard pressed to find another AG nominee who is so racist as to be denied a federal judgeship by the senate.

Russia is controlled opposition. Some elites want to keep it that way. Some want to ally. Probably the Intel agencies like to keep Russia as an enemy in order to justify their budgets.

No wonder I was passed over for a cabinet position. I'll work on my Russian connections to get in better position for Trump's next round of appointees.
fiedler (1293 D)

Ogion (3882 D)

Your sarcasm is misplaced, fiedler. An America First policy that comes with weakening our existing alliances (and likely our economy) while dropping sanctions against Russia is indeed something Putin's government would like to see.
fiedler (1293 D)
02 Mar 17 UTC
Yeah, except Russia is just a vassal state of USA. Controlled opposition.

My sarcasm is placed like a made in USA cruise missile.
Deeply_Dippy (458 D)

Everyone knows it's a conspiracy but no one actually knows who's conspiring against whom.

That's why it's all just b***cks.
Lethologica (203 D)
02 Mar 17 UTC
I'm sure the US was just ecstatic to see its supposed vassal state annexing Crimea. But I'm not worried, I'm sure all the evidence just points to the depth of the conspiracy.
fiedler (1293 D)
02 Mar 17 UTC
That's why we need the nation state and the middle class. Because otherwise everything is just the international 1% conspiring to screw over EVERYBODY else.

But you can measure success when looking at the national level. For example, Russia losing the cold war and the resulting massive economic reforms and the collapse in life-expectancy for russians (especially males) is a clear-cut case of one side losing to another. The russian people did not conspire to do that to themselves. USA defeated their lame-duck system.

If you say it's all just buckets then you have no societal meaning at all Deeply_Madly_Dippy. Which does not a healthy society make.
fiedler (1293 D)

It's all a bit over your head LethargicLogica. Please don't be embarrassed. You can still flip my burgers.
Lethologica (203 D)
02 Mar 17 UTC
Oh, so now Russia isn't a vassal state, but a losing opponent--the most mundane of post-Cold War narratives. Well, I'm glad you dropped your pretense to knowledge of any special narrative about Russia.
