Maybe, but make it expire after a certain date in the game. It's getting out of control! Every game I play, seemingly, someone loses an early SC and just bolts. Then, the power that is closest to him exploits the absence, and then goes on to grow excessively. It's theft, plain and simple.

auto-cancel for a CD in the first 3 yrs is pretty reasonable.

i would hope the RR system would stop this type of thing from happening. but i have noticed that setting the RR entry bar high enough seems to mean your live games never fire

Do CD nations get their points back if the game is cancelled?

Yes. Maybe this is something to add ... A lot of players in post game chat say they want to punish those that CD by taking their points and identifying them. Also, if someone takes over the original quitter isn't identified. Maybe that would help

Usually the guys who want to get the free points are guys with low point totals. Guys, the points are MEANINGLESS! Snagging points from
a draw or solo from a game that should have been cancelled is LAME! Maybe the auto cancel takes the points from the CD's and distributes them to those who showed up, i.e., punish the culprits and reward the victims!

How about this: When a CD takes place, or even at the first NMR, the game automatically pauses until a replacement joins?

@brainbomb, don't worry about it. I can't tell you the number of times I had people I banned say "I'm just going to keep making accounts until you let me stay". They all get bored after making a few new email addresses.

It's like some kind of Multi-Personality Civil Disorder or somethin'.

I wouldn't want people kicked out of the club over CDs or NMRs. Perhaps have some games as I described, automatic cancel in the case of CDs or NMRs, and some for the players who aren't concerned about them.
