Seriously?

The Palestinians are treating the Israelis terribly.

This is from today. We have 3-5 of these every day in the last two weeks. I am just wondering how many of you heard about it on the news.

P.S. This video does not display an attack by a Palestinian from Gaza/Ramalla, but by an Israeli Arab who worked as phone company technician in one of the two Israeli phone companies.

I was aware that Israel was having a particularly grim time of it again. It is making the news in the UK, but other news is dominating the headlines.

The last piece of news I heard from Israel was the IDF soldier who shot dead a female Palestinian schoolgirl.

If it's making the news, it's not making TV news, and wasn't been featured in the newspapers 2 weeks ago -- but I've been out of the UK the past 8 days so it may be in the newspapers now.

I'm just at a loss for words with Israel, when your country still treats the Palestinians with absolute contempt and disregard.

What do you expect, a welcome mat? Yes, build more illegal settlements in the West Bank? Kill more children? Keep Gaza in absolute poverty? Build your walls around your riches, while we live in squalor and under blockade?

Have you heard about two Palestinian cousins, 13 and 15, who attacked with a knife a Jewish 13 years old and inflicted grievous wounds? The younger one was shot by the police (he is in the hospital now) and the 15 years old one was killed (I am not sure how).

Because the media once again portrays it as "15 years old Palestinian was shot by Israeli police".

wjessop, you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. The guy from the video above did not live in Gaza. He lived in Jerusalem and had a good job in a good company. This is not even about Gaza.

I'm not talking about your video.

I'm taking about Israel-Palestine.

Your eagerness to make this about single-stories is pointless.

And if we ARE talking about Gaza, they have a great airborne metal-export industry. My parents live in Ashkelon. News about rockets to Ashkelon don't even get into the news.

This is the back and forth for decades.

Stop trying to point the first finger at the Palestinians.

The first finger is clearly not the Palestinians.

wjessop, if you want to talk about Israel-Palestine, open your own thread. I am talking about awareness about what's going on in the last two weeks in Israel.

I don't think you can divorce the two.

I think the fact that you're trying to divorce the two is part of the problem.

And things will never change.

But, then, it's so much easier to blame, then look for solutions.

wjessop, when you are saying "Palestinian", are you talking about Arabs who live in Gaza, Arabs who live in the West Bank, or Arabs who live in Israel? And, do you know the difference between them?

I'm sure you'll tell me the differences.

Both sides are doing horrendous things. It's not a one-sided conflict.

wjessop, you look like a big expert on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. If you cannot tell me the difference between the 3 populations, you should shut up and listen to other people who know about it a bit more than you do.

Lies are best removed by the sun. I am sorry that when confronted with direct questions you decide to 'remove' yourself from the discussion. I guess that sounding your opinion which is based on lack of knowledge and pure antisemitism from the media, also comes so easily.

Well, words kill. What we see in the last two weeks is an unprecedented call to action from the Palestinian leaders, both in the West Bank and Gaza, to go out and slaughter Jews. Not Israelis. Jews.

Words make people take knives and kill other people, like what you have seen in the video. So yes. I have zero tolerance to people who try to blame me for being slaughtered for being a Jew in my own, only country.

Guys, he was just rightly pointing out that this is getting surprisingly little publicity. I'd say this is worse than MH17 and that got an insane amount of coverage, for instance.
Now I'm Dutch so the tendency of many people to relate more to people from the same country explains that as well, but still. This stuff does make me wonder why soccer made the front page, clearly implying there's not much going on I'd say.
