I'm not sure jmo would be up to it. I would suggest captainmeme given his experience with the task and his want to GM a "special" game.

If you're doing an all-star game you might want to specify what denotes an all-star

Astrolounge by All Star was also the first CD I ever owned. I think I have more than enough qualifications.

All Star game = all players have a PR of some sort. Could be fun.

@DL9: I presume MVPs from each game so far shpuld at least be invited :D

I've been in every game (apart from M2, where I was GM), but really that's the only qualification I would have to be in any all stars game. I'd be the first to admit I am not a great player and no victory, mafia or town, has been due to me.

I also really want to GM a game again and this is a great opportunity to do so :)

An All-Star is a person who have previously competed in a game and have a known high level of skill/ some claim to fame in online/forum mafia. I believe a nomination process, where players may campaign to play but must be nominated by someone else (and possibly have that nomination be seconded) in order to be signed up, woudl be appropriate for such a game.

Also, MVPs from previous game easily meet this definition, so perhaps they should be automatically nominated.

I could GM with ND. If pretty much all the experienced players who have the time are going to be playing, it might be good to have a couple people play the GM role and figure it out together.

Talked to Chaqa and Meme. It looks like Meme and I will GM an All Stars Game 10. We will post more details soonish.

I'm happy to GM with ND (looks like there are quite a few requests, but I did get in there first and I'd very much like to GM another). I feel like the All Stars entry system needs a lot more thought though - I feel like it's more likely it will end up with a small group of long time, well known players rather than players who played well.

@captmeme why don't you just take on final say? That seems like the simplest and best solution

So I went and made a list of all the players who have played (doesn't count if you were modkilled/replaced before the end of the game). I'll have to take out those who have been banned.

We should narrow it down with some requirements (maybe 2+ games, unless an MVP?).

The only players who have either played in or been a GM of all 9 games are captainmeme, myself, and Vash. Warden missed M5; guak, ghug, and uclabb are in M2 onward. Maniac in M3 onward.

I propose you must meet one of the following categories

a.) playing at least three games
b.) having some sort of well-played game, not necessarily MVP

And then a selection process in that pool

So removing ALEXTREME and Fasces since they're banned, and also removing those who haven't played in more than 2 game (with some exceptions because of very good performances, and giving a bit of leeway to more recent players).

I think this is a pretty good list to start from. I did take out ND since he wants to GM, but I left in captain since I really think he should play.

Justification for some:

damian played a super solid SK game in M2.

Thucy was town MVP in M1.

wjessop was clear mafia MVP in M9.

Why not decide how many players you want in the game, give all the players on the eligible list a certain number of votes to give to players? You cannot vote for yourself and the top X number of vote getters are in the game? Captainmeme can be the person to tally votes that are sent to him via PM. He decides on tie breakers, or perhaps a runoff is held?
