"Reviving 150cc club" is in spirit only. I never actually was a member. But the idea and rules that they came up with can be found in full here:
http://tournaments.webdiplomacy.net/150cc-club
The idea is to have high-quality, consistent live play. The most important thing is this:
"What this rule is really about is respecting your fellow players. Making sure you have time to play a full game before joining. Cancelling in case of CD. Only resigning if you have to, as well as generally keeping things fun for everyone."
Right now the plan is to make a game at one or two or three consistent times a week, probably one for US and one for EU folk, with a consistent password. If 7 people show up, we have a game and they are expected to follow the rules. If less than 7 people show up, it's better to not play than have a frustrating low-quality live experience.
I like both GunBoat and FullPress.
If it's GunBoat it should be Anon. If it's FullPress, I'll see what people prefer and what works best. Because the rule is to cancel if there is a ruinous CD, non-anon allows that to be recorded and known, which is something to keep in mind.
I assume the points will be low as the focus is on good, reliable players giving a good, reliable experience rather than betting. But there's no particular reason for it not to be medium or even large bets besides gating users.
I'd like to gauge interest before making RR or GR cut-offs for initial entry for now.
Please post or PM if you would like to join with your preference for day/time [of game start]. This is not a commitment, but rather to find out when the games should be posted.
