How bad is a beer and approximately a bottle of wine on one evening?

Judging by what others at the party talked about I thought it was reasonable (although a bit more than I was going for, I really liked the wine...), but yet others seem to think it's quite too much. There were people more drunk than me, but I won't base my drinking habits on what others do..
It was the first time I 'really' drank, probably worth mentioning.

First Game!

Hello all, I plan on joining my first game. I've mainly used the site to read the forums so now I need advice. Is it better to join a random pre-made game or should I request players from the forum so as to ensure it is a good game. If the latter, then if you are interested please post here. Ideally I would like to start the game next week. Anon, WTA, and a medium buy-in. Look forward to it!

Design Flaw in the Global Variant

I have now encountered several times a design flaw in the global variant in that fleets may not pass between Armenia and Moscow (which has a Black Sea Coastline bordering Armenia); neither can they support an action between them. Armies may move and support unimpeded; but fleets may not. What is to be done about that? Game Masters, please respond.

Why ? I though those words were quite common in English... like "putain" or "merde" in French (my mother tong)...
The only people I would expect to be offended would be extremely religious or very high born ones... Are you one of the two or is it genuinely bad language in a forum context ?

If publicly visible where children might see it, the first might violate community decency laws, so yes. The second is a threat of a crime, so also yes. Trespassers will be shot is considered borderline, but trespassers will be brutally murdered would be a threat of a crime for in excess of the violation and therefore would also be a crime.

As far as you answering my question. It wasn't a real question as is evidenced by the bad British swearing I asked it in. Bloody and punter are not American words.

OK, CA, in the context in which I used them, they are British slang, not American slang. Both are English words, but Americans don't generally use bloody or punter as slang words.

Anyone else watching the war of Tumblr vs. 4Chan play out? It's getting heated and somewhat illegal. Then again, it may not and it's all a bluff from both sides. But if it is true then there must be a lot of hackers with free-time and no need to gain any monetary value.

Help! In game, I cannot talk to certain nations, or them with me, as they are "muted" yet everyone's name has an active speaker icon (no red X's) beside it. How do I unmute someone who isn't actually muted? Thanks!
