The lyrics in this song are a much better show of lyricism.
"90 lady cops in the road and I'm arrested for doin' 80"

Possesions they are everything
Theyre everywhere
Theyre Owning us
As soon as you possess it
You desire it
and then it turns to dust

Ooh arrh, ooh arrh ay. Ooh arrh, ooh arrh ay.

"I want to hire an assassin,
With a passion for killing time"
And
"Chilling like a mint
But building like cement"

Here's comes the tears
Tumbling down my face once again
I've counted every day of the year
Every month, every day, minute, and second

So here goes, I'm letting the pain in
Once again my well being runs thin

But you can't blame me
I know you'd want me to stay strong
But it's hard when everything just feels so wrong

Maybe you should blame yourself
For leaving so long ago
You kicked that chair from under you when I tried to help and you just said no

It's been 1,825 days
And it's only in moments like these that I remember every single tick and chime of this dreadful time
157 million 680 thousand seconds I've spent waiting since you died

2 million 628 thousand minutes I've spent cracked in the soul
43,800 hours as half of a whole

I hope you enjoy your New Years
I hope I see you again
Maybe a few years
Maybe a few more beers
Some gin
I'll just keep paying attention

To your empty spot at the table
Set just the way you like it, your fork on top of your knife
Nice and stable

I still put my hand on your thigh when we say the blessing
Sometimes I feel like you're really still there, like he finally gave you back to me
But when I open my eyes I'm damned by that empty place setting

You can't blame me
I'll just sit here on New Years alone
Waiting for my baby

Wrote a really short one last night after lashing out where I usually wouldn't.. Short but heartfelt.

So break loose, break loose
I beg of you please, oh please break loose
From that pointed, pointless pride stuck inside of you

There’s no use
Letting that frenzy of fire
Bring you closer and closer to the noose

Break loose from the chains
Glue together the remains
It might sound inane
But I promise you, you’ll soon come through

If you just break loose.

They cast a dark shadow on our land,
Moving unhindered across its surface.
They rain down upon our land,
Without any discernible purpose.

The elders speak of dragons,
That once rose from the sea.
The youth they speak of wagons,
That can fly across the sea.

Their rain is a wall of fire,
It ignites everything in sight.
We burn what’s left in pyre,
For our funeral rights.

The dragons soar through the air,
Like eagles in the wind.
They fly without a care,
They do not flap their wings.

For many Moons we did hide,
And for many moons we did suffer.
But the lightning struck true,
And a dragon did shutter.

It fell to the ground,
behind it a tail of smoke.
We approached the roaring sound,
And the dragon we uncloaked.

It was not a dragon,
But a man inside a shell.
The youth had said wagon,
And with that we broke the spell.

We still could not battle with the people in the sky,
But now we loved knowing that they too could die.

(A poem about being a civilian during a war you know not what about)

I have a
mannequin for
a paperweight
it is difficult to
type with such a
large paperweight
I reach around
lovers late into
night typing
from behind it is
impossible to
tell which
is Virgil
poetry
can be
of use

the field of flying
bullets the hand
reaches through

loving the aftertaste
finding a deeper
third taste
many are
haunted by
human cruelty through
the centuries
I am haunted by
our actions since
breakfast
you said too much poetry
I said too much war
the biggest mistake for
love is straining
there was a
door marked
MISTAKE we
entered
you said too much fooling around
I said fuck off and die

Those two lines describe my diplomacy forum experience...
“You said too much poetry
I said too much war”

Byron I love your poem but I am admirably struggling to fully understand. Does the dragon, or wagon, resemble a legend to all of the people that was finally stricken down?

This one might be a little controversial, but here we go.

Did you see him when he lost his parents?
When he started losing his moral sense
When he started becoming a nuisance
When he broke down, have you tried understanding him since?

Did you seem him when stopped being treated?
How about when he was no longer greeted by his parents who said he wasn’t needed
His parents who allowed him to go a year without any treatment
Did you dismiss him when you discerned that he wasn’t bruised or beaten?

Did you see him when he stopped belonging?
When his happiness stopped thronging
How he started mistreating other beings
When he started ringing a threatening ping to anyone who cared enough to be listening

Did you see him when he showed the world his collection?
His manifestation of life ending weapons
His seriousness every time he threatened
His posts displaying his disappointment towards everyone that wouldn’t listen

Did you see him when his twisted emotions finally burst?
For you few observers who cared enough at first
Did you keep watching or did you just decide he was deranged and that his brain didn’t work
How do you feel now, knowing that when you stopped looking his outburst was rehearsed

Did you see him when he was publicized?
Did you see him when he was turned into a statistic?
Did you see him when he was thrown into a bag of numbers jumbled up by politicians?
Did you see him before the media attention?
Did you see him when he was just another human?
Did you see him when he stopped falling into submission?
Did you see him?
Did you see him?

There's a moderate
A moderate on the rise
Hop off the wall, they said
Into the fire or the ice, pick a side

But why should I side with the lies?
Why should my understanding of the premises that lie
Behind every single picket sign,
every single legislation that presides,
every single outcry
dwindle into the same nothingness I see on either side of the great wall I ride.

I look down and I see people on both great plains
I don't see monsters leaving stains on what of our great country still remains
N'or do I see progress pushing forward by even a single horse's reins
But those overburdened horses can be trained

Those overburdened horses can be tamed to meet me in the middle and run the same way.
To lessen the weight and work together in making this fractured country great.
To reach for a future that only true unity can create.
And maybe, just maybe for a second, forget your democratic state
Your republican hate
Your innate belief that you’re a saint because you believe in something supercilious and chaste

But until then I’ll be here, hoping to watch my pointless wall break
Watching my country make haste towards either hate or true, serene grace
Watching the people take this division and make it tighten or manage to eradicate
And maybe I can one day stand with the masses without being asked
Why I can’t pick from two sides
How I want to be defined

I heard it on the causeway
Smashin
Jaws of steel scraping up a long day
And theyre causing lots of crashes
So no mas - namaste?

Are we walking now?
I would but the air is thin
Our brains are plowed wood from the virgin sin
So we really should
Our fingerprints are really hints
To distinguish all the wrong from good

I heard it on the sidewalk
All the rumors lies and side talk
Is it my fualt or your fualt that bump stocks
Get sold off like dredlocks to a guy with a bad cough? wouldnt that be better than being bumped off by some dude weilding a sawed off and ending up as a wisp of dust in the white chalk.

Are we talking now? Have car wrecks and mass shootings stirred you somehow.
Does people doing entertaining things always bring you expected mental imagery? It pulses from the spirit unrelatedly but simply think. The status quo is death the status quo is suffering, there are no hero stories in the land of gun harvesting. No one can afford to fry their brain on meth. People are smart enough they know. But theyll do it anyway and erase the place in space theyll go.
If you kill the brightest part of your mind, youll never be certain what parts need redefined. Why Is it so hard to have a dialogue about something actually happening? The people who are responsible can be the same without. If were walking down a sidewalk I want to be free to shout at everything. I see a bird HEY.

I see a dog WHATS UP, but society sees loud things as weird and weird is feared but metal scraps that kill people are revered.

I heard it in the night
I heard it on paper
Awake one morning
Gone the next
And all we end up as is one final smart phone text
To all the people who matter
Maybe only one
Becoming a statistic because obsessed minds remain sadistic entwined blissfully blind and concerned about fast forwarding when all they want is a rewind.

I heard it on the causeway
Were all in the pileup
If youre on one side stay in your lane no need to get riled up
If youre late
Good
Be late once in a while

If you find yourself on a sidewalk
Dont be afraid to talk
Especially to the trees
They dont have guns or cars
So branch out peacefully

Submersible

Can you even imagine
All these peoples habits
Theyre livin so tragic
Its like a fualtine below the sea
The things they are magic
So faithful indeed
Were not waiting on soap sud dreams to arrive

Fornication
What an explanation way to reach out properly and grab a nation hey Im not zero im the patient if you ask me to be patient this isnt a relation

Ship
Sinking
Down
Broken down chorus like a medley run aground
Choppy seas and the iceberg leaves hit an ice cold scene going under in a ship sank dodge in a fingerprint its not a submarine and God is also an immigrant. You cant
Rip rely
On the fail safe
Whip eye
Swift reply
Hanging down crows nest like a spy in the eagle of the center of time
Its reversible
This is a crucible
You think your life is trapped its reversible
But if you go on steady
Acting up so heavy
You might turn this whole thing to a submersible
