@leon - cancelling the Marsh Turbine doesn't provide enough Steel for the Museum. That's why I didn't consider it this phase.

##Pulse Which areas have dead life that can be converted? Also, I'm looking at the map, and I have several questions. What are the orange colored marshes and grasslands? Also, what is that blue swirl at (13, 17)?
I can answer these questions - I've already asked BB about them.

The orangish-red colored tiles are known locations of Endeavor Lily.

The blue swirl is the original landing spot we were supposed to colonize before our vessel exploded.

##Withdraw Proposal 7.2.9

Please designate most of our harvesters to collecting steel this phase.

Also, you guys have any idea how to save me? We need to find a cure before the end of Phase 8 or I'll die :(

And I'll be gathering lots of steel. Don't worry. What do you think is best from the hangars? More harvesters? Space fighters?

I also love this exchange between DemonRHK and Flicke.

DemonRHK: ##Whatever-AI: Is the Turkish colony also on this planet? Are they aware of these developments if so?

Flicke: Wot? Turkish colony is not here mate.

Thanks, Mr. President, for the opportunity to deal with an old friend gone bad.
Here are my thoughts...
a) He USED to be a good guy. Quite brilliant, actually.
b) SOMETHING happened to him. I believe him that he has lost his memory that explains WHY he created the virus, etc.
c) I suggest we keep him alive... and interview him. Use psychology, hypnosis, mind-enhancing processes... and find out his REASONS.
d) We can't really 'do' to him until then. If his reasons turn out spurious... I'll kill him myself. But if his reasons are legit... I say we use his brilliance and enhance our colony... as WELL as have more insight into the Bombie epidemic.

I was going to let Chagall report it since he was on the mission and was the one involved. However, I feel it is very important.

When Chagall went to see if he could get any information out of Styll (one of the traitors who planted the explosive on our ship), here's what we learned:

-Styll is apparently working with a group called the Brotherhood of Ynbar to sabotage us. Other members who have infiltrated us and are possibly posing as workers: Devin, Zayne, Victor, Svalar, Farley

-Styll said this: "Go find Victor, tell him we cant wait much longer. One of us needs to kill ourselves so we start an infection chain inside the dome"

-And this: "Then you can come free me. We jack a ship and get off this planet. And we find Svalar. That was the guy who can cure the thing. Supposedly"

-They wanted Hammond dead for some reason. I'm guessing one of them is responsible for killing him and burning his body. We found it a few phases back.

-Asil (the Turkish hacker who tried to help us with Brainbot) is apparently sympathetic to them. Styll said he would assist them if they could make it to the Turkish colony.

I just realized Svalar is the person who created the disease. Maybe he isn't associated with the Brotherhood but just has the capability to produce a cure.

This was Svalar's initial statement:
brainbomb wrote:

Firma: This man is who the UNECP wants. He created the virus.

*She throws him to the ground before the council*

Svalar: She tells it true. But theres more. So much more. Skylon never caused Polluxb. It was brainbot. He can mindmeld people. Make them do things.

He made me create Agent Othello. I have little memory of the past year. But my papers and formulas are all the evidence anyone would need to have my career destroyed. I came here to find Uriah. He knows me. He could vouch for me.
And here's what Styll said about Svalar:
thamrick wrote:

-And this: "Then you can come free me. We jack a ship and get off this planet. And we find Svalar. That was the guy who can cure the thing. Supposedly"
I probably misinterpreted Styll and Svalar isn't part of the brotherhood.

@Uriah (darg) - can you talk to Svalar to see if he has a cure? Or can produce one?

@Svalar - not sure if I can communicate with you but see the question above.

Was hoping to have a little more discussion about things, but since proposal deadline is in like 10 mins, we can just vote these down if we want to go a different route:

##Proposal 7.0.5 - Before sending the workers out, gather them and find Zayne, Victor, and Farley

##Proposal 7.0.6 - Assign Traxler to investigate within the workers to see if he can find Zayne, Victor, and Farley

##Proposal 7.0.7 - Assign Firma to find Zayne, Victor, and Farley

##Proposal 7.0.8 - Assign a trusted idle worker to ask around with his fellow workers to find Zayne, Victor, and Farley

##Proposal 7.0.9 - Use Pules's scanner to locate Zayne, Victor, and Farley and capture them

##Proposal 7.5 - The following resources will be produced by our structures this phase:
Marsh Turbine produces +1 Credit
Wind Generator produces +1 Credit
Harvesters gather +5 Food, +20 Steel
Harvesters at satellite location gather +1 Food, +4 Steel
New Harvesters scrub 2% air
Upgraded Hangars produce +2 Harvesters, +2 Space Fighters
Hangar produces +1 Tank
New Marsh Turbine produces +1 Credit

##Proposal 7.6 - Assign Svalar to produce the vaccine.

Putting into display?
Does this eliminate the luxury we got by these?

##Pulse

Pulse: It converts from luxury to science. So yes luxury is lost. You can trade fossils as a commodity too.

Nursing Home: 1 steel, 1 credit per phase upkeep 50 workers, allows elderly colonists a place to retire. +1 morale.
Since the upkeep is per phase, do we get the morale boost from this per phase as well? If not, what happens if we stop upkeep?

The 1 credit upkeep is for elderly care. Without it elderly die off faster.

Museum of Natural Sciences: 3 steel, 50 workers, Fossils. Adds +2 Morale and +2 Science
##Pulse Is this what you meant by putting the fossils on display? How many fossils does this museum require? I feel like this is a pretty good build option.

Pulse: Yes. Minimum 1 fossil.

##Proposal 7.2.9 Build a Museum of Natural Sciences
##Vote YES on Proposal 7.2.9

Basal Tower : 5 steel 5 Ore 5 Crystals (200) workers. The Basal Tower provides Wisps and Colonists a place to worship. Creates a Transcendent Religion between the two. +3 Morale +2 Virtue.
##Pulse Would this be the same religion as Pastor Naia preaches?

Pulse: A hybrid of yours and the wisps beliefs. A new faith.

##Proposal 7.2.7 - Build another Mine (overseer to be added via amendment)

If we use our resources to build a Biodome, we will have 7 Steel and 1 Credit left to work with for builds this phase and 712 workers. I don't see a good way to use all our workers, but here's one option

Biowell (30 workers, 1 steel) (x2) - 1 phase
Advanced Photon Laser Towers (200 workers, 1 steel) - 1 phase
Upgraded Hangar (60 workers, 2 steel, 1 credit) - 2 phases
Marsh Turbine (30 workers, 2 steel) - 1 phase
Mine (40 workers) - 1 phase, councilor required

##Proposal 7.2.8 - Have Firma train 10 soldiers

##VOTE Yea - Proposals 7.0.1, 7.1.1a, 7.1.2, 7.2.1, 7.2.2, 7.2.3, 7.2.4, 7.2.5, 7.2.6, 7.2.7, 7.2.8

Pulse: The Museum will accumulate tourism the more things we put in it. Which will boost pop. We can connect the museum to a greenhouse with endeavour lily for example. Having a wisp as a friendly tour guide too!

Due to Storms the Turkish Colony has not responded.

The primary Turkish Colony appears to have ignored our message or has not yet seen it. They havent opened the email.
