I'd like to quickly use the opportunity, since we haven't landed yet, to pose an 'obvious' question as to why Proposal 1 and 2 failed, if they have been voted for in ratio 4:2? I believe somebody else pointed it out before, but the issue was not followed.

Yes, I think they shouldn't be failed.

Mr. President
(i.e. Leon)
the game has not yet really started. Can't hold it against someone who noted the start date of this afternoon....

While looking out of the window, after the urging of my annoying squirrel, I noticed something. A simple thing, really. I noticed that the battleship, gracefully 'flying' next to us is occupied.

I mean of COURSE it is.

But... do we have any contact with the people on our escort?
@brainbot
Can we speak to them? Does our communication network work in subspace?

@Brainbot

Will I have brainbot OS loaded on my craft when I go to explore the anomaly and will I be able to communicate with the rest of the crew?

COUNCILLORS, DON'T LET ANY COUNCILLOR GO AWAY! CHOOSE B OR C. There may be a danger. -1 morale wouldn't change anything much but why should we take risk?
B is quite logical selection, we're on an empty planet, nothing will change if we will have been settled without military.

@Ike, how do you weigh the risk of your life versus the risk that we need military support when we land on Endeavor?

I would also like to suggest that in the future, if we are presented with an A/B/C/D... choice, we make proposals for votes on the options as follows:

Proposal #.#.a
Proposal #.#.b
Proposal #.#.c
...

And we propose all options at once. So for our current crisis, it would have been

@@Proposition 0.1.a - choose option A
@@Proposition 0.1.b - choose option B
@@Proposition 0.1.c - choose option C
@@Proposition 0.1.d - choose option D

@@Vote yea on proposition 0.1.b
@@Vote nay on proposition 0.1.a
@@Vote nay on proposition 0.1.c
@@Vote nay on proposition 0.1.d

It gets confusing when we've got Prop 0.1 and Prop 0.3 referring to the same action, but Prop 0.2 is something entirely different. Just my OCD kicking in... if everyone thinks I'm crazy and doesn't want to do it this way, then I'll get over it (begrudgingly and seek a way to exact my revenge)

@Tham, From my perspective, IF something happens to attack the colony while the battleship is exploring the anomaly it would be disastrous to the colony. My presence with the colony would not change that outcome. If I go to the anomaly and die, it is a setback but not a disaster. I feel that an attack and me dying at the anomaly have about an equal probability of happening so I would rather risk me than risk the only real protection of the colony.

Also @Tham, that is a good way to do Props, I will be adopting it for the future and would recommend all other councilors do the same. We'll leave it as is for now just to not cause more confusion.

I would agree Ike. I also feel like if you die and we lose -1 morale, we will gain that back eventually from our glorious and exalted president. What other events lose us morale?

RE Packages:

Dear Councillors, Roland here again.

I am going to ensure you will start with

Food: 9
Steel: 3
Credits: 3
Fuel: 11
Morale: 3
Population: 3

This is in addition to whichever package of stimulus you select. I also will have an escort Battleship with you for the first three phases to provide orbital support. For the early going we wont be asking for anything. Long term we will want to send you more citizens, workers and support as we are overcrowded to the brim on Ynbar. If you need anything you can ask Fleet Admiral Iago and he will do the best he can to put in your requests. There is no guarantee we will be able to respond until after phase three, as our fuel stores are pretty thin ourselves.

I don't think our colony is among threats. There are nobody or no aliens. I won't.
