Len, Chinese Ambassador:
:oldforum:
CNSA would like to offer you 300 workers to found for us a Colony on Mars. We have a ship and can update your ship with better systems. We will offer you extra Steel in the amount of 2000 at start, and make sure you have 100% food, fuel, oygen and water at start.

Let me first start by telling you that China has a plan not just for Mars but for Pluto, IO, and both of Mars moons. Long Term we hope to establish refueling stations, listening posts, and a way to talk to radio signals in deep space.

Within 20 years Earth will have mostly collapsed and its populations will die off rapidly. With the time we have left I believe it is best if we all put our effort into finding a NEW place to call home, the sooner the better.

There will be factions who will try to stop us. And they will ultimately fail because we dont plan to settle one place. We plan to settle everywhere we possibly can.

For enemies of yours on mars we promise a very swift and decisive way of dealing with them. You will have the support of Weinan Dawn. I will not bother you with the details of what all we do, but suffice it to say, your Benson problem is taken care of. I poisoned him with a cobra snake.

I ask that you not share my secret, because assassination is not a popular idea. But once you are on mars, if anyone should bother you, just know that if you should choose China and CNSA as your financier, you are always going to have the protection of Weinan Dawn.

From CEO of The Centre National d'Études Spatiales (CNES)
:oldforum:
Jean Grévisse,
My dear friends. I have enjoyed the tale of your most absurd journey into space. My favorite part was the fact you were all scheduled to launch anyway. And nonetheless the world has reacted as if you were a bunch of random average joes with no identity. We have met some serious setbacks in a mars mission. In a really strange and unprecedented situation, our space program has joined the Germans. I know what you are thinking, ahaha, France and Germany?? But yes, it seems our two nations are more alike than ever. We are both struggling with nuclear fallout, weakening economies, and the rise in national identity being replaced with corporations.

Having heard your tale I can say you should accept the German offer. They are bringing up half Germans, half french for the colony. We will be uniquely diverse, and be both a scientific and production heavy faction.

Adding our two groups guarantees your previous offer from the Germans, and will also add for you a specialist we are told you need. Édouard Noel is our leading Surgeon General. During his time here he has been responsible for incredible breakthroughs in the field of medicine. To name a few of his accomplishments; he devised a method for a vaccine that prevents the onset of autism. During his early career Édouard was diagnosed with a degenerative condition that rendered him unable to walk. He was able to devise a vaccine for this condition as well. and Finally just last year, Édouard was able to create and synthesize a vaccine that has completely eliminated the existence virus known as Ebola.

Édouard would like to join you on Mars, and study the effects of Martian conditions, monitor the health not just of your colony but of the planet as a whole, and retire there peacefully. He is 56 now, and would be joined by a team of doctors, physicians, and specialists who would make up about 1/3 of your workforce.

And to make this the cherry on top, the other 2/3 of your workers would be Germans and French who are thrilled to live on Mars, and to give humanity a second chance.

-Jean Grévisse

Yes absolutely.
We play alot on discord. The story is evolving and can be very intricate like a novel at times. The players currently playing are deeply into developing their backstory about why they want to settle on mars.

●Choose Financier
America : Prop 0.3a
India: Prop 0.3b
England: Prop 0.3c
Germany: Prop 0.3d
Russia: Prop 0.3e
France: Prop 0.3f
Canada: Prop 0.3g
Japan: Prop 0.3h
China: Prop 0.3i

Looks like we are going with Skylon

##Vote YEA on prop 0.3c

●Quest to acquire forcefield cpu
Ship will gain Forcefields

Still just need to do this in Discord if that is an option.

CARLOS SPACE JUNK OPTIONS
OPTION WREN OR GULAM
Gulam build options
A. Can build a long range scanner
B. Build a Gravity Dampener
C. Create Body for 3 Androids
D. Build an escape pod big enough for 6

OR

WREN OPTIONS
A. Discover a free L1 Tech
B. Create a new hidden system (Your ship has 0/3)
C. Weaponize a 1 shot Disintegration surge

Prop 0.7a - Create long range scanner
Prop 0.7b - Create 1 shot weapon
Prop 0.7c - Create escape pod
Prop 0.7d - Get free L1 Tech
Prop 0.7e - Create a hidden system
Prop 0.7f - Gravity dampener
Prop 0.7g - Android bodies

I put these in order of what I think we should build.

##Vote YEA on 0.7a

We also need to decide on the L1 tech from Burnsie:

Prop 0.8a - Robotics
Prop 0.8b - Mesh
Prop 0.8c - Recombinants
Prop 0.8d - Biowell
Prop 0.8e - Manufacturing
Prop 0.8f - Soil Manipulation
Prop 0.8g - Divine Authority
Prop 0.8h - Array

Robotics gives us the missile rover, so military tech. It also opens us up to harvesters which are useful, and lightrails for travel

Mesh - Gives us housing. A must for colony development

Recombinants - Transplants. Closest thing to a doctor we will get.

Biowell - Food and water. Helps us to not lose. Pretty much a must in order to survive.

Manufacturing - Gives us steel, which we need to build

Soil Manipulation - More Food and water stuff.

Divine Authority - Gives us faith.

Array - Good for communications and also gets us a nice vehicle

We need all of Biowell, manufacturing, soil manipulation in order to get to oxygenators and other high production items.

In order of what I think is best:
Biowell
Manufacturing
Soil Manipulation
Robotics
Mesh
Array
Recombinants
Divine Authority

##Vote YEA on 0.8d

I tried to learn Biowells from Burnsie before he left, not sure if that got processed?

DEEP STASIS (10 days)

Burnsie has converted Cargo3 into an indoor greenhouse. You will produce 30% food with this active. Its interior contains 100% of your colonial food supply.

Burnsie: I wanted to tell you all that it is a privilege to be here. And do my part for some usefulness. My pods will help regulate moisture. This room also produces its own oxygen, and water.

Theres a structure called a Moxie.

This here is a Burnsie. You get 30% Food, 30% Water, and 30% Oxygen each phase from this and it runs on an energy source. When we get to mars it is imperative we get this station connected to us with power, cabling, and a mesh tunnel between. Solar Panels or Geothermal Vats.

Without power this facility dies on mars in 50 sols or less. It is impervious to heat up to 1100 degrees F. The structure itself is intended to detach and parachute to an area near colonial lander.

You can build a Burnsie with my help any phase
10,000 Steel, hydriosymbiots, energy source, 150 workers

Okay so Game Mechanics I gotta explain better

Diagnostic
1. Food - 100%
2. Water - 100%
3. Oxygen -100%
4. Morale - 100%

Construction
Production Points - 3
Workers - 300
Steel 8000
Credits 13000

In this diagnostic the council may build

Mine (2 production, 25 workers, 100 steel)
+2 Production, Bonuses improved if built on a Strategic Resource. Rare Minerals can be discovered. If built on a mountain +3 Production.

Mines will increase your production value if built on mountain areas.
The cost to build the mine is 2
so here you would start with enough to build 1 mine.

Some roles can influence Production, like the Miner (Will)

Will - Atk 5 Def 4 (Mining)
Hit Points 13
Primary: May build a mine any phase without using Production. Each mine will add 1 extra resource to your strategic resources each phase.
Secondary: Prone to seizures which can prevent him from working.

.
.
Will
(0/20) L4
Hand to Hand Combat
Heavy Weapons
Mining 3
Geologic Mapping 1
Piloting 1
Longevity
Production Boost 1
Security 1

This is Will's skill list.
Will has Production boost 1. He can spend an action boosting production. OR if he focuses on Mining:
His mining 3 combined with his primary means mines on Strategic resources will be worth x4 of that resource that phase.
