Wait. Coven - those are the bad guys. All of the terminology. I didn’t pick up on that, I picked up on sniper. And to blame my life for my otherwise thoughtful observances, no that’s not cool. Nor accurate.

You said you have a new job and are busy. I'm not discounting your other stuff, but you reacted very strongly to some posts like that and I'm trying to read the person (like understanding Jamie is playing on his phone which is unusual for him and leading to his reading comprehension change).

I said I was adjusting to being a new boss and that was why I hadn’t engaged a lot in the beginning. I more than carried my weight yesterday. Did I miss something, clearly. But that’s also why I asked. I thought the sniper claim was legit. I did not associate it as a scum sniper claim.

I also was pretty sure Bona was the sniper despite his pinky promise. Hence me not wanting to claim anything that would give him a hint (or WIFOM of a hint) about my role.

It suggests to me her real life is overwhelming her normally insightful reading skills (not picking up on yavu's post in context, nor mine).

Yes. Yavu was so obviously claiming mimi was a mouse and that he thought she was the scummier of the two other mice.

Now...whether one should trust his read...whether one should trust he's town...those are things to discuss.

I caught it and had no opinion on it bc I didn’t see her as being scummier than the others bc first of all I didn’t know the other and second, that was his opinion. I was focusing on his behavior around pitching her, which I didn’t like. That’s not me missing something. It’s me focusing on something different than others or you.

yes I did show up almost immediately after EoN. This isn't the best phase end time for me
I still feel like bunny is scum due to the reaction test yesterday but bunny is posting a bunch so ill give him a break

Assuming Chomps is not scum gravedigger who killed town Will (negligible enough imo)) then of the Will voters I think the only possible busser was Yav. This would make sense as Yav was trying to get mimi dk's which would ensure either he or Will got poison. Once it was clear mimi was not gonna be the dk he switched to Will which would gain cred if Will was dk'd but also gave hope of a tie.

Or Yav is town and scum are within {Dip, Butter, Gbomb, Jamie}.

Either way I think tomorrow's kill should be Yav or one of those 4 with Butter the least preferred.

as you are someone who has experience both with this general setup and with chomps as a player, i have a few questions:

1. is chomps snapping to revealing himself as gravedigger so quickly in character for him? idrc Abt alignment, i just want to know if it's something he would usually do

2. is snapping to revealing oneself as gravedigger generally a good idea in this setup if you get a scum flip d1, as chomps claimed?

3. in your opinion, how likely is a chomps/will pairing this game and why? (you can skip on the why part if you would like)

We don't allow posting at night on any site I've played on before, but as far as revealing anything he knows at his earliest opportunity? It's not what he did last game, but he also didn't wait very long either. IIIRC, he tried a single gambit which didn't immediately work and then spouted out with it shortly afterward before every other player had checked in, so it still could have theoretically yielded results.

In a game with an apprentice, it's not too bad, because generally a village apprentice is going to choose to back up the gravedigger vs other roles. (Last game there was an equivalent role to gravedigger so it would have been a worse play to reveal immediately.) There is always the chance that the apprentice is wolf sided, however, so that's a calculus. Most gravediggers don't take that into account, however. And really, because of the flipless alignment, outing yourself too early is less bad than in other games, typically.

I've never actually played with Will, just watched him play, so--take this for what it's worth? But my guess is that Will claims more conservatively about claiming than Chomps does by quite a bit and would have counseled against an immediate claim if they were in wolfchat together.

ah, i forgot about apprentice. that changes my thoughts on this a bit maybe. still think will/chomps is a rather likely pairing

rather likely? Do you genuinely think I in a 3 scum team choose to swap my vote last second to kill my wolf teammate and post him as mafia when there's no other role that can confirm this and a wrong count messes up with solving?

There's no mechanical benefit for w!me pushing w!will and claiminging the redcheck on him unless the team is exactly w!yazu as third who I was also voting for most of the day! You really see me as this super hyper busser that's trying to kill their teammates as fast as possible?

you dropped the gimmick almost immediately after something that would have caused you to lose interest in it if you were scum
as I mentioned, this wasn't what I expected to happen (that was a drop in posting), but it's still scum-indicative
