@Butters: Did you mean to make a comment there or were you just quoting me out of respect?
That was my way of signifying complete agreement with what you said. As in, I had nothing to add to your take on yakuzic's strange choices this game.

You guys--don't play much like I'm used to. I realize that's on me to adapt, but I'm distracted by something else and having trouble doing so.

It seems too easy to say "yakuzic declined to out the third mouse and therefore that increases the likelihood that he knows/thinks they are on the same team" but he still hasn't even explained deciding to out the second mouse, who was being (in my opinion and the others that have expressed opinions either way) more villagery than not, and then trying to drum up votes on her.

So far, my take on him is that he's coming across as an "action" player--or maybe the better term is "boredom" player. When he feels like nothing much is happening, he decides to do something dramatic and nonsensical to see what happens.

It's not a playstyle I gel well with, although it can get results. I tend to yeet those people early if I can.

If I'm wrong, please clarify your thought processes, yaku.

I learned Butter has played more no flip mafia than I have; quite a bit it sounds like. And that one game she played two town decided to use up their powers and commit suicide to prove they’re town…so she plays with a group I can’t quite fathom but seems to go for peer pressure a lot.

I learned Butter is more focused on mechs (at least publicly) than learning facts about us players. She was disinterested in learning about our pronouns, and while she volunteered facts about her parents, didn’t pull any from us and ignored Bona’s attempt to offer some.

Yes, when it's so biased that it's an obvious smear attempt by a witch.

I prefer cricket of course.
they call it cricket cause that's all you can hear during the games - crickets
It is called "cricket" because it was invented by Sir John Cricket in 1704.
are you being serious

Smear? I was stating facts I learned about you. The biggest one you’ve also addressed:

Your main experiences and groups you’ve played with before sound very different than this one.

Yes, I’m insane.

But that’s different and unrelated to my playstyle of forum mafia.

##CALL GM

I have a question about the demons' curse:

"Note that in order for this to flow smoothly, Demon must choose who they wish to Haunt by the halfway point each night, so that Angels may react accordingly."

This implies that the Angels are told who has been cursed, at the halfway point of each night. (Otherwise "so they may react" makes no sense).

Is that correct?
Yes angels learn halfway thru the night who cannot be saved because they are cursed

##CALL GM Do curses last more than 1 night? E.g. If town kills a witch today, and that witch cursed me tonight, would I be cursed the rest of the game? Or would angels be able to save me future nights?

Okay, let me clarify a few things. I was mildly curious about the gender ratio when it got brought up, but in a brand new community, I'm shy about asking those kind of questions unless the information is volunteered. And my home mafia site is overwhelmingly male.

I don't even know what you meant by "Bona's attempt to offer facts about themselves." Apart from they apparently aren't British.

I don't generally enjoy games on new sites but there was a need so I offered to fill it. For the same reason. I'm shy.

What is this stuff that keeps appearing to be like code or gibberish? Yavu and Dip have at least posted it and I have no idea what it is supposed to be.

People keep referring to hashes? Unless we are talking about the drugs or the potatoes, I’m unclear what’s being referenced here.

Bunny and Butters seem to be having an entertaining beef. I have a very tough time with Bunny. He seems less gimicky and high energy than I am used to. But I tend to always be suspicious of him. Butters, I have appreciated your explanations and reasonings and am currently town reading you.

Very suspicious of people who say something and then leave for forever. So Dip, Chomps…. They’re on my radar for that.

Yavu is my biggest scum read at the moment. I don’t get the hard push on Mimi. Encouraging us all to vote for her without being able to share much else seems super sus imo.

Bona is funny, I liked the cricket joke and the fact that he rarely gets anyone’s names correct.

I blame DiplomacyandWarfare. I tried to vote them for it but then I forgot. LOL me.

Oh, and Bunny, I don't confuse the players because I have multiple tabs open and I go painstakingly back through the thread to check usernames whenever I post.

Any more assumptions I can correct for you?

It’s something called a hash. The purpose of a hash is you can take ANY phrase and turn it into a series of numbers, and the same phrase will always produce the same numbers. But it’s nearly impossible to undo and figure out what phrase a hash came from. But SUPER easy to confirm.

So what yavu is doing is saying things today that we cannot read. But tomorrow could say “I said this exactly phrase before and you can confirm the hashes match”.

It’s annoying. (And yes, to the older players here, I’m aware of the irony of me saying this). It doesn’t really provide me any insights about yavu. But that’s the deal.

Also @Glitter, havent we only played the one game together? Where you were scum? Was there a second? Either way I don’t think you’ve ever played me when I was scum. Only been scum once in recent memory.

Well, it’s nice to meet you! And I’m glad you came out here! We’re all nuts in our own ways, but mostly get along. And when we don’t we have a very good group of mediators to smooth things over. They’re insane too, but charming.

I’m Bunny! A fairly outgoing mathematician (unlike my advisor, I look at OTHER PEOPLE’S shoes while talking). I like this game because I get a chance to listen to people who never ever think like me and try to figure out if that means they’re scummy or towny, while also trying to be helpful for them reading me (without doing stuff that ruins the game like having reserved phrases or actions).

Used to be a serious amateur bridge player. A decent but not exceptional gunboat diplomacy player, and mostly just enjoy talking and listening to people.

Pretty sure we have played two games together. I’ve done the football one, a Star Trek one and the guns and roses one. Last game I played was in October.

I GM'd Star Trek, and didn't play football. And I'm pretty sure you were scum in guns and roses (there was definitely one where I was final 5 or 6 and you were scum and eliminated me at night)

It is nice to meet you as well. I really enjoy bridge but only know a few bidding conventions and love to overbid (if I can justify bidding game, I'm doing it--part scores are for wolves and mafiosos) so I drive most serious players crazy. But playing as the declarer is some of the most fun there is in card games, I think-- a lovely balance of revealed and unrevealed information to work with.

Why did you give it up? Decided to hunt wolves and conquer the world on the internet instead?
