Certain details, like the starting amount of fish and a scoring system, as well as a system of player abilities and events, are not yet fully fleshed out. There will be an incentive to lie and claim you fished less fish than you did, ways the players can punish whoever they think overfished, and a thread for discussing who may or may not have "overfished".
Please can you explain the rules for this "punishment" mechanism, as I do not see it set out in any detail in the setup thread?

Hello, fellow Fishermen. I propose we all fish zero fish today, to let the stock increase.
Reject, however so as not to deplete pool suggest 2 each

We get negative points for fishing zero fish. Fishing one fish, however, would give points and still let the stock increase substantially.

But yet again, you could just take the negative and make up for it later… I’m fine with anything below 3.

Hm I don't agree as such. Once we learn the average replenishing speed, then we can discuss it.

End of every round, 1+ fish for every 2 existing fish.

I second the cap of two fish. 2 fish each for 6 players if I recall correctly is 12, leaving 38 fish to create 19 more, letting the pond gain 7 more fish than last fishing season.

Your recollection that 2 x 6 = 12 is accurate, I believe.

As per 2024, I lay claim to all the waters from Greenland to Hudson Bay. Any disputes over this territory are considered hostile attacks.

Following Will's claiming of all the waters from Greenland to the Hudson Bay, I am marking the entirety of the Mediterranean Sea as mine, under the same rules.

I don't know why you are fucking about with that map but the GM specifically described a pond. We are fishing for freshwater fish, clearly. Your claims to various ocean territories are meaningless here.

if you think about it the ocean is just a reeeeeeally big pond

Jamie can lay claim to Lake Michigan or something so he can secure the freshwater fishes
