Neither for nor against. At the contrary.

Why?
I just think it would be more dramatic. Anyway, it's not important.

Why would all of the semifinal games not start right now? The matchups are set, might as well try to wrap up the spring tournament before the fall tournament starts, and give the finalists a bit of a breather even...

RoganJosh vs MadMarx 2-1

We have our other semifinal! Please start them now. Any further delay is deducted from your allotted pause time. Thanks :)

If we can give a special prize, I'd like to propose we give this to Roganjosh for his Hol H in Spring '05 (in this game), which trapped the Austrian army in Kiel. I think that this gave him the victory !

A champion's move ! :zultar:

While that was a nice move it was ultimately inconsequential, the game was won/lost the season before.

Yes a cool move.

I don't think it was over at that point though. Guessing correctly in the attack on Berlin in Spring 1906 could have still won MM the game. Things almost always get pretty hairy in the Berlin/Munich fight at some point.

RoganJosh - cspieker 2 - 0

The two games played out kinda similarly: cspieker had to play catch-up after early guesses misfired.

I believe we're ready to start the finals!

Who will claim all the glory and points? Who will be forgotten within a week? I can't wait to find out! Mostly because Ghug promised me cookies if I supported Hellenic Riot with organising this.

Games are created :

* http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=229388
* http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=229389

They are anonymous. To give some suspense.
And spectators can try to guess or bid on who is who...

Congratulations RoganJosh ! A fully deserved victory !

If you send me a MP, I will be happy to send you great Belgian beers to celebrate your victory :
* Curtius : a blonde beer, a little bit "sour", from my city : Liège (see here)
* Moinette : another great blonde beer, softer, from Hainaut (see here)

There are of course the traditionnel Chouffe, Chimay, Orval, Leffe, Maredsous, ... but all these are well known !
