@Foxy Knoxy, give me three bullet points right now on why Tom is scum. The three best, alignment indicative reasons.

I haven't played much with Tom (he was first NK my only game so far), but
1) the early hard vote on DRHK looks odd to me.
2) He was on Mean, whom I town read.
3) The whole question of why he rearranged the order of his scumreads is iffy to me, but his whole reaction to that pressure struck me as off.

Okay, those 3 points are terrible.

(1) how early was it? Why does it look odd? Odd in what way? I mean....all early votes are pretty rubbish now. There just isn't much to go on. What about Tom's process looked insincere?

(2) Bad evidence. Not Alignment Indicative ("NAI") Townies vote for townies all the time.

(3) What is the Scum Tom theory on this? Like, why does scum move his reads around in a different order?

(1) Gut feel. That's what your town read, MLQ, did too. In any event, do you remember how early it was? Was it like the first vote? Why do you think Scum Tom casts that vote, and Town Tom does not cast that vote? This seems very NAI to me. If you could just round up scum by seeing who voted early for gut feel, this would be an easy game.

(2) Townclear???!! Why? And even if so, do you think she's so town clear that townies wouldn't think she's scum? I think she's scum. Do you understand why I think she's scum? Do you think I am scum for thinking she's scum?

(3) YOU NEED TO HAVE A SCUM THEORY FOR WHY HE DID A THING THAT IS ONE OF THREE BULLET POINTS ON YOUR BULLET POINTED LIST! Weighing Scum Motivation versus Town Motivation is just about the most important thing you can do.

But, interesting observation -- you think Tom is more collected than he showed in a response. Here is the key question: is Tom likely to be more collected as town or scum? Have you thought about that question? What's the answer?

I point out I don't know Tom well because reading metas has worked for others, and understanding incidents in context is important.

I have limited confidence in my read of Tom. I'm telling you that because absolute confidence is dumb.

This is my second game. Tom was the first NK my last game, so limited interaction. Off the top of my head, others in that game include Vash, Brain, Bozo, Bosox (scummate), snowy, Darg (my scummate at the end), yavuz, maniac, rdrivera, reedeer, Ezio. Might be missing a few.

I am exhausted from working extra hours because a ton of people are sick. Just got done reading the thread. Interesting developments. Balki made his first posts that actually seemed like he might be town to me this game. I completely disagree with Brain's thoughts on foxcastle, but I would like brain to explain to me why vash definitely isn't scum, I'm open to the idea.

For now, I'm going to help lynch tom, I'm getting weird town feels from balki atm that might be because of exhaustion, I'm not a fan of the ND lynch as I see some town seeming qualities, Vash isn't going anywhere and I want to hear from brain about it, and I don't really have a read on ezio so lynching him seems like a shot in the dark to me. Tom feels the oddest out of the bunch. ##vote tom
