Two questions left.
Another clue: if you count films (unsure see previous answer) he wrote for at least 3 different media
Notoriety often follows fame.

You need regret nothing, Damo. This is a fascinating challenge. I am sure that some clue lies in the uncertainty of your answers. I am thinking.damo666 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 10:26 pmSorry unsure. Has 'made' films where he may have been the screenwriter.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 1:10 pmIs he a screenwriter, script-writer, comedy writer (whose comedy is then performed by others), or something of that nature?
Beginning to wish I hadn't picked this person now.

Does he have a criminal record, or has he ever been accused of a crime?

Usual (Hold'em). £220 + £30. Four day 1 flights into D2. 15 30 minutes levels day 1 which is a slightly ott imo. Got busted level 13*.
Friend of mine won the thing. 25K. Not bad for 2 days work.
KK lost to QQ hitting quads lol. Had been dented with set 7s losing to runner runner flush.
I run a small pub game in London aimed at City after work patrons (used to run 4 a week but I've calmed down). Quite a few of us have done reasonably well in medium price events (>100 <1000). It's fun.
Do you play?

So it's a living British man who is associated with writing in various forms, and has been on television, who is generally somewhat notorious, and who has a criminal record.
(Damo how many questions left?)

I've asked the last two questions; someone else ask question 20 (but be careful!).

Re: Twenty Questions 159
The comment about writing "in different forms" led me to suspect a songwriter. The age fits well with the British Invasion era. I'm swirling around possible solutions, but everyone I come up with has either been on The Simpsons (Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards), or holds world records (Andrew Lloyd Webber). These people also did not "present" a TV program, although they were on many, and all made films.
Re: Twenty Questions 159
My first thought was David Attenborough, but he very much IS famous for being on TV. Same for all of the guys from Monty Python.

What crimes has David Attenborough committed?

None that I'm aware of but that's pointless to point out as I said I had already eliminated him on other grounds so didn't get that far. My goal is just to open up ideas for the kinds of people we might be looking for. What crimes has David Attenborough committed?
Focus on the goal more, jamie, and less on scoring points against me.

I'd be surprised if Lord Attenborough's son hadn't committed a few crimes along the way, though. Their kind usually have. And they did find a woman's skull in his back garden a few years back...

1. He's a British person who is still alive.
2. He has a criminal record.
3. He is primarily known as a music producer, singer, and sex offender, but he also wrote songs and has written for various newspapers and magazines.
4. He appeared multiple times on Top Of The Pops as a presenter (as well as a couple of times as a musician), but occasionally presenting Top Of The Pops was not the initial source of his fame.
