Can you explain what’s dumb about it?

There'd be no way to take self-preservation motivations out of the story of my vote at this point in the round. Those types of votes look inherently scummy and people won't be able to distance my vote from that story regardless of what my intentions would've been in tying it.

If people decide that for whatever reason I'm the more valuable flip then I don't feel think scrambling would do me any good at this point... people seem to hold Tem and I at a similar tier of scumminess anyway and I admit that I don't feel like I've been particularly helpful to the town this game so making a whole scene to keep myself around for an extra day just doesn't feel like the right thing to do.

If someone else ties it and they need me to tip the scale towards Tem I would be happy to but being the actual person to tie it feels stupid whether I'm town or scum.

Stopping here bc I need to look at this with the colors so I can form some thoughts

What stuck out to me upon reread. Quotes in black, my thoughts in green:
- macca voters: temasek, damo, heartthrob. these 3 either don't move, aren't active, or only flip when it's too late to change the outcome. zero momentum wagon. The other 2 leading wagons both being scum should potentially bring these names into further scrutiny. I'm aware that I am unfortunately on this list
- by T-0:26, the vote is 4 macca/4 will/4 sweet/3 vanity wagons
macca voters: same plus will in desperate self-saving mode. this zombie wagon lumbers on. This reflects favorably on Macca imo
- bozo and jamie get off vanity wagons for sweet. bozo has only engaged with sweet once before in the whole day (admittedly not a high poster), and says his reason is not very strong. however he never moves his vote even as sweet becomes a giant wagon. The vote that initially reflected positively on bozo in the moment (since we didnt know it was SvS) is I think a little less favorable now as we could be looking at a scenario where bozo is just choosing which teammate to sacrifice.

I liked heartthrob pointing out that it turns out my choice D1 was between 2 mafia and a town when I broke the 3 way tie. heartthrob is at least putting in more effort than Temasek.

The later, and yes, sometimes, when it is appropriate. In this case, if you were a PR, you probably would not be saying there is no value in keeping you around for an extra day.
