FWIW Aaro, I think your statistics are overly complicated for the sake of nothing.

Reality is this - there are 3 dance partners that have scum in them and 4 that don’t. If you’re town, you have better odds that your partner is town than they are scum - act accordingly or don’t.
no, the chance that your partner is mafia is higher than any other slot, because you yourself already obtained one town slot from the pair (if you are town); you need to see it in this way: if you are the first to get drawn, you dodged the mafia role and became town, but the chance of mafia getting drawn into the second slot still exists. If you got drawn into the second slot, either your partner already is mafia and you automatically are town, or both partners succeeded in their mafia-dodge roll. Whereas every other slot has full possibilities, because you are town, you decrease the chances that your partner is town too.

Well, you can just get a good read on your partner and dismiss all this probability chance, but since you know your role, it influences the percentage chance of your partner.

Ah, I see what you are doing now. Sneakily promoting an anti-town play.

##VOTE brainbomb
I think he's arguing that town are more likely to make the anti-town play because they haven't thought through the scum perspective unless they're me.
I still haven't forgiven you because you should know better. But I do appreciate your conciliatory post. Hopefully town heeds it and stops claiming.

It’s weird to me that people don’t overthink the setup before joining. Are you just trusting Eden that it will be fun? Novice move.
I used to not read setups until mechanics became relevant to my play and then they started making me review them pregame. Assholes.

What makes you assume anything about why I townread them other than that I just townread them?

Either it is a sad and unlikely coincidence, or you are town reading anyone who supports an anti-town agenda.

Your manner, supports the latter case.

Interesting.

I was not reading their agenda whatsoever. I was reading the tone of their posts, the sincere curiousity in them, and the lack of appearing to be scummy. I had not considered that they were both pushing some anti town agenda. Regardless I still townread them anyway. because they are both probably town.

That is the most simple solution based on the info I have. I do not know what your other motications are, as you have not made them known. Just gotta make my own assumptions until then then weigh the facts and the opinions.

I would argue that worcej and kak are the two easiest people to push under the guise of being weird or scummy or anti town.

most people know scum worcej would already be lurking by now. and scum kak wouldve drowned the game in poetic weird shit with no game related thoughts.

So brainbomb, what's your stance on mass claiming? Yay or nay? No need to give details as to why.

Damn, this might be my fastest tunnel. This looks like you flexing your "meta archivist" muscles in a manipulative and inaccurate way.

@worcej: I’m saying the following: your partner is more likely to be scum than anyone else in the game.

You are correct that 3/11 and 3/7 are both less than 50% but that’s not the case I’m making.
Then what’s your point you’re trying to make?

I still think claiming is actually valuable to town, especially now with what Eden said

Meta is maliable. We all prove that. Well, I dunno if we ever played, so I got nuthin on you. But the site does have a history of voting players out for extra dumb reasons, like this even, day 1. I would counter there are easier D1 miskills, myself included.

I’m saying that everyone should tunnel on their partners and not let up for the entire game (or maybe like 2 day phases).

Also I think claim D1 has no advantage over claiming N1. And even then I don’t think it makes sense for town.
