FWIW Aaro, I think your statistics are overly complicated for the sake of nothing.

Reality is this - there are 3 dance partners that have scum in them and 4 that don’t. If you’re town, you have better odds that your partner is town than they are scum - act accordingly or don’t.

no, the chance that your partner is mafia is higher than any other slot, because you yourself already obtained one town slot from the pair (if you are town); you need to see it in this way: if you are the first to get drawn, you dodged the mafia role and became town, but the chance of mafia getting drawn into the second slot still exists. If you got drawn into the second slot, either your partner already is mafia and you automatically are town, or both partners succeeded in their mafia-dodge roll. Whereas every other slot has full possibilities, because you are town, you decrease the chances that your partner is town too.

Well, you can just get a good read on your partner and dismiss all this probability chance, but since you know your role, it influences the percentage chance of your partner.

I’m saying that everyone should tunnel on their partners and not let up for the entire game (or maybe like 2 day phases).

Also I think claim D1 has no advantage over claiming N1. And even then I don’t think it makes sense for town.
