Yes, I could have done that as well. That could have been a smart move...but then there may have been a danger that the two cannons may have both shot Moscow. I don't know what would have happened in that case. And I thought the consensus was that cannon holders should announce their shot before firing.

The consensus was that cannons should claim. Which you seemed to think was a bad idea and made you suspect xorxes. I wonder what you would have done absent a scan on MF. And if you thought someone else would shoot MF, what better than to immediately order it without wasting time posting and going through some theatric "OK brainbomb, I'm going to trust you. here we go, winding up. don't get in the way other cannon, here it comes."?

I didn't see the MoscowFleet thing straight away. I didn't know whether the other cannon holder may have seen it...so again I was wanting to make sure we didn't both shoot. The BB thing is because I usually try to vote BB D1 and this would throw that plan out of kilter. A meta joke.

My initial plan was to take out the top wagon an hour or two before the end of the day. The assumption being that we must have good reason to vote for that specific person for them to be the top wagon, they would have had time to defend themselves so we would have learned something and we would still have time to choose someone else depending on how the top wagon rolled. In comparison the Chaqa shot by Durga was completely and utterly useless. I only goaded her on because I still wasn't sure whether she was bluffing or not.

How does not revealing make me safer, scum already know I'm town? Once revealed I am outed as having no item so of less value as a NK and arguably more safe.

No, because now you're unlynchable, so Mafia HAS to kill you sooner or later.

That's why it's better to keep the potential clears hidden as long as possible, so that Mafia kills potential lynches, reducing the pool where they can hide.

flash’s responses to y2k seem towny to me. As was his reflection that his play with the gun was probably not ideal.

And I genuinely believe him when he says he would be a poor scum to be the long play (even though he would be ideal. You don’t pick the big names to go deep because people will question why they are still alive in the end).

The scum were clearly planning something going into D1. Initially I was reading both flash and durga as town because yeah, if one was scum, he/she would likely want to hold the gun quiet in the hole in the hopes of derailing a flailing town. which is what flash did and has tried to justify.

brainbomb's scan reveal broke that down, and i see flash as wanting to preempt Durga for his chance for town-cred, since they were starting off pretty bad due to the scan and what clearly would have been Durga shooting MF herself eventually.
