i play a lot of mafia and i like to push myself (although you'll note i had a category for the people with no content so it's not like i have reads on everyone)

i've played 12/12 games with 60 players where i try to give a read on most of the game by the end of day 1

partly it's just a thing i like to do for myself because i like to see how accurate i can be (my results are usually decent) but i also find it more useful to have a big picture perspective
Different backgrounds lead to different playstyles but reads lists are the biggest filler and waste of time in the entire online mafia community across all the forum based websites so if you want to suck up to me don’t post them, and if you don’t want to suck up to me then that’s totally cool nobody in their right mind would but going forward I’m going to pester you about your reads lists if you don’t actually put effort into justifying them.

Welcome to webDip mafia.
there was a time when i believed something akin to this but i don't really anymore

i will grant you that if someone is posting a list without any surrounding context it's not that useful but i think it's perfectly reasonable to lay out where i stand as deadline approaches

and as i said i think about the game a lot and can back this stuff up if you are actually concerned with any of it
I’m not that concerned with it lol. I just think it’s kinda pointless to use the thread as your own personal notepad, but I am getting to the point where I townread you for it

I can't read Bo so far. His posting seems null. He doesn't seem scummy like last game.
Bo definitely seems more engaged, I'm hesitant to call him less scummy, maybe he's just less busy irl / wants to mix up from his lurking last game.
Can you answer my question instead of talking about me?

I’m not less busy than last game and there will be periods where I am absent. My life is generally busy.

One hour… not sure if I am going to be able to be on before EoD.
I’m not acting any different than I do every other townie game. You are entitled to vote me off because I don’t solve like you do.
But it will be supremely strange if you do so.
what have you solved though?

He's also being typical aggresso Bo when last game he was tame for Bo standards.
Didn’t I berate a player or two into quitting the game last goaround? I thought people were blaming me for that

I don't remember. I stopped reading when everyone decided to be pocketed by snowy and flash wagoned me. 🤷‍♀️

Wouldn't dargo attempt to fake solve and have reads since he has tmi as wolf by now.

He's not doing anything to save himself which is giving me town dargo vibes.

Hey what do you know my town game is EXACTLY the same.
Is that something we should consider good or bad?
It's something you should consider NAI

I do not intend to vote for any of the particularly active posters on D1, per my previous post about the N0 mechanic. Yes I realize that I am putting myself in my own arbitrary scumpool, and yes I know that nobody asked.
RHK, damo, rdrivera, and pyxxy are my arbitrary scumpool in no particular order. I cannot imagine a scenario where mafia, given N0 to plan and given only half a day to survive, don’t have at least one low poster.

I don’t have any issue with the zero posters being in that pool but I don’t think it makes any sense at all to daykill them.

Before anyone asks what the case is on dargorygel and swoops in late to start some asinine blitz wagon.

the finer points of why darg is mafia are as follows
-spends almost all early game joke posting or mech talk
-majority of questions to others are to ask what scum roles they wouldve picked
-gets very omgus heavy over my vote on him and spends all the rest of his posts and energy trying to convice me to stop voting him, while still staying on me anyway.

It isnt alot, and maybe the others voting him can add to this but this seems better to flip today than bozo or damo.
I'm not sure I agree, but I'm also a bit dense on these things, but this explanation does save me having to ask "why are we all voting darg again?"

I honestly feel kind of indifferent. I'm not feeling as strongly about you and I haven't intepreted some of the things you've done as particularly scummy. And it's almost EOD and I have to vote for someone, don't I?

Thank you. Someone more convincing than me is defending darg.

I will not be posting or playing during night phases this game as I plan to take breaks. If you do not see me posting this is because I enjoy games with silent night phases where I can spend time with family and my lil daughter. So if you find that scummy, I do feel sorry for doing this to you. But knowing how much I post, and how much crap I fill games with in night phases I do feel you will get over it in time.

sincerely brainbomb.

How do you have a read on everyone but one player within 24 hours of game start
He's my friend. Thats how he plays.

🤷‍♀️
If I asked your friend to explain their reads in detail do you think they would be able to give a cogent answer for each and every one of them?
It's kind of normal in communities elsewhere to be expected to have a full reads list by EoD1

24 hrs phase is certainly limiting but I could probably throw together a full list of I have enough cares to do it

I gave you a chance to push your Tom wagon and this is your response?
admittedly i don't like this
Lol why?
the response felt like he expected you to owe him something because he voted with you on your wagon, which is pretty silly and unnatural

I wanted to +1 this post because I agree that this setup seems scum-sided but I can't relate to eating dinner, that's just weird and I don't know why bo would bring up something like that with no context.
Context: holy shit, other than me, people have real lives outside the game. Even I'm ostensibly my mother's full-time caretaker and eat at my workspace, and just generally have bad prioritizaiton of other things and this thread.

Bo is saying that because he has real life to deal with, and things other than mafia, like presumably running the forum because he's an admin, and food, and sleep, nad family, that the 24 hour D1 vs the 48 hour D1 gives him less time to interact.

Also I recall him being in Alaska? Or is he back?
I was being sarcastic, people who eat dinner do deserve rights, sorry for being unclear.

Brunch havers however...
